The story is very hard to get into and it’s very slow. I was very disappointed. I really thought it would be a good book but maybe it would be if the speaker were more upbeat instead of melancholy.

Heartfelt & Warming

This book brings on so many emotions to me but in a good way. I absolutely love how the Sweeney family helps each other and will go to great lengths to make sure the other is good. I wished I had grown up in a family like this. This story is so heartfelt, inspiring and warming. Now I can’t wait to listen/read Book 4!! Cecilia Scott is an AMAZING author and writer!!

This book along with book 1 is so inspiring and it brought up so many things that I have gone through in my life. I can’t wait to listen/read book 3!! As an inspiring author myself, this book has really made my dreams of that, soar!! Have you all thought about this series becoming a movie or tv series? I would definitely would love to watch it!! I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS AUTHOR TO EVERYONE!!!

The book started out very interesting through the concentration camp but toward the end of the book, it was hard to stay focused on the reader. I, personally, would have liked to have known more about living or should I say, trying to stay alive in the concentration camps.
