Historia
Greg Donahue’s The Minuteman, tells the story of one of Newark’s native sons; ex-prizefighter and longtime Zwillman enforcer Sidney Abramowitz, a.k.a. Nat Arno, who took over leadership of the Minutemen in 1934 and made it his personal business to put an end to what he saw as the Bund’s “anti-American” activities. For six years, Arno and his crew of vigilantes battled Newark’s Nazis at every turn. The Minuteman is a story of the ethics of violence in the face of fascism; a forgotten legacy that is as relevant now as it was nearly a hundred years ago.

Exciting story read like a mystery!
Revisado: 07-26-20
Very exciting story! The narrator spoke like he was reading a historical mystery caper that kept me on the edge of my seat. Interesting story, not biased towards one side of the issue of vigilante justice with a lot of anecdotes and climactic confrontations. I highly recommend this quick listen!

The Buddha Clarified
Revisado: 04-30-18
Osho has the ability to distill classic teachings down to their essence through metaphor, jokes and always no b.s. straight talk. He does this here with Sutras of the Buddha. Even a Buddhist friend of mine found it very clarifying.

Historia
It's one thing to hear a life-changing truth or to have a conceptual grasp on spiritual wisdom. But it’s another thing to "walk the walk" - or to put into practice the good advice we've been given. What does it mean to walk the walk in our everyday lives? According to Pema Chödrön, it means being down-to-earth, genuine, and perhaps most importantly, it means engaging in the teachings in order to actively confront anything and everything we’ve heretofore rejected in our attempts to find happiness.

An original thinker -- beyond the mind!
Revisado: 10-23-17
This recording has a lot of childhood stories of osho's mischief which are hilarious! And it contains a lot of original thinking, which is a trademark of Osho. Responding to others calling his movement a cult, he says that modern so-called religions are all cults:
"Religion is basically rebellion against dead traditions, meaningless conventions, it is a revolution. To bring birth of a new man, a new consciousness. The cult is not concerned with the new man. The cult wants the new man never to be born."
All spiritual traditions teach surrender to either God or guru. But not Osho:
"I do not teach the ego, hence I cannot teach surrender. Because surrender is nothing but the subtlest form of the ego. Surrender is not against the ego, it is an in fact an act of the ego. Who surrenders? And by surrendering, who becomes humble? Who becomes meek? It is the ego standing upside down. It makes no difference whether the ego standing on its legs or on its head, In fact it is more dangerous when it is on it's head because you will not be able to recognize it."
