Historia
Set in the Cotswolds, this is the next instalment in the adventures of Inspector Hobbes, Mrs Goodfellow, and Dregs, as narrated by the still disaster-prone Andy Caplet. It is a rip roaring, funny, and moving tale of Andy's infatuation with a dangerously beautiful woman, starting off during investigations into sheep deaths and the mysterious disappearance of pheasants. These incidents appear to be connected to a rash of big cat sightings, and something horrible seems to be lurking in the woods. Is Andy cursed to be always unsuccessful in love, or is the curse something much darker, something that will arouse his primeval terrors?

Sherlock Holmes! By Jove
Revisado: 04-24-12
What made the experience of listening to The House of Silk the most enjoyable?
Cracking good story! What? right right...All the drama - twists and turns one comes to enjoy from Sherlock. Anthony Horowitz has done a bang up job of using Watson to introduce us into a new story,.
Which character – as performed by Derek Jacobi – was your favorite?
Oh Dr.Watson of course, not wait...Sherlock..darn he was so good its not fair to ask which ONE!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Sherlock find out maybe he shouldn't rely so heavily on his runners. Im keeping it cryptic so not to give out spoilers.
Any additional comments?
Fantastic book, highly recommend a good listen too..what?

Historia
When farmers cutting turf in an Irish peat bog make a grisly discovery, the perfectly intact body of a young woman with long red hair, archaeologist Cormac O'Callaghan and pathologist Nora Gavin are thrown together by their shared scientific interest in human remains. Because of the preservative effect of the bog, it is difficult to tell whether the body has lain there for two decades, two centuries, or two millennia.

Revisado: 04-24-12
What did you like about this audiobook?
I enjoyed the layed back voices of the narrator- it made listening to the book, so engrossing and enchanting. Even though the subject matter at points was highly disturbing.
How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?
My interest in archaeology has always been profound, and also in Irish history. But the combination of the two - then add in the spice of murder mystery who wouldn't bee hooked?
What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?
I liked that used different voices and really played with the roles
