Historia
Everyone around Iris Kelly is in love. Her best friends are all coupled up, her siblings have partners that are perfect for them, and her parents are still blissfully married. And she’s happy for all of them, truly. Iris doesn’t want any of that—dating, love, romance. She’ll stick to her commitment-free hookups, thanks very much, except no one in her life will just let her be. Everyone wants to see her settled down, but she holds firmly to her no dating rule. There’s only one problem—Iris is a romance author facing an imminent deadline for her second book, and she’s completely out of ideas.

an excellent conclusion to a great series
Revisado: 10-30-23
wow. I LOVED this, I think it's my favorite of the trilogy. Stellar performance from Kristen Dimercurio once again!
I wasn't fond of Iris in the other two books but getting to be in her head changed that very quickly! I didn't expect that I was going to speed through this as fast as I did, but here we are! I really enjoyed all the characters in this story, and Iris and Stevie fit together so well, both wonderfully fleshed out. Oh and I can't end this without mentioning the spicy chapters! made the mistake of listening to the last half of this while at work, which was... interesting - in the best way possible. I was so into it that it made focusing during those parts pretty difficult 😂
All in all, I'll definitely be rereading this entire trilogy and attempting to get my queer friends into it as well! Can't wait to see what Ashely Herring Blake writes next.

Historia
All sorcerers are evil. Elisabeth has known that as long as she has known anything. Raised as a foundling in one of Austermeer’s Great Libraries, Elisabeth has grown up among the tools of sorcery - magical grimoires that whisper on shelves and rattle beneath iron chains. If provoked, they transform into grotesque monsters of ink and leather. She hopes to become a warden, charged with protecting the kingdom from their power. Then an act of sabotage releases the library’s most dangerous grimoire.

Excellent story
Revisado: 02-02-23
This story had a slow start, but once it picked up I couldn't stop. Emily Ellet was a great narrator, aside from a few occasional male voices sounding the same, but all of the main characters had unique voices.
I can't wait to get the sequel novella

Historia
For Astrid Parker, failure is unacceptable. Ever since she broke up with her fiancé a year ago, she’s been focused on her career—her friends might say she’s obsessed, but she knows she’s just driven. When Pru Everwood asks her to be the designer for the Everwood Inn’s renovation, which will be featured on a popular HGTV show, Innside America, Astrid is thrilled. Not only will the project distract her from her failed engagement and help her struggling business, but her perpetually displeased mother might finally give her a nod of approval.

I love Kristen DiMercurio
Revisado: 11-29-22
I loved Delilah Green Doesn't Care, and eagerly anticipated this one. It did not disappoint. Kristen DiMercurio's performance is excellent once again and the story is fantastic. I loved getting Astrid's perspective and seeing her get the happiness she deserved.
And hooo boy the spicy scenes were so good! Very well written.
I'll be recommending this story to all my friends.

Delilah Green swore she would never go back to Bright Falls—nothing is there for her but memories of a lonely childhood where she was little more than a burden to her cold and distant stepfamily. Her life is in New York, with her photography career finally gaining steam and her bed never empty. Sure, it’s a different woman every night, but that’s just fine with her.

nice read
Revisado: 04-05-22
Kristen DiMercurio was an excellent narrator. I enjoyed the voices that she did.
The story itself was funny and lighthearted but still followed a romcom formula. I enjoyed how Delilah got to know Ruby early on and related to her so well. I could relate to Delilah a lot in this story, so I think she was probably my favorite character.
I recommend this story if you want an easy read with queer romance and friendships that develop over the course of the story.

Revisado: 01-26-22
Lindsey Dorcus was an excellent narrator. She did voices very well and never felt monotone. Leslie Vedder wrote settings so well! I felt like I was actually there. I could imagine the curse marks easily.
I'm intrigued to see where this story will go next. I'll be on the lookout for sequel(s?) in the coming years.

Historia
Luc O'Donnell is tangentially - and reluctantly - famous. His rock-star parents split when he was young, and the father he's never met spent the next 20 years cruising in and out of rehab. Now that his dad's making a comeback, Luc's back in the public eye, and one compromising photo is enough to ruin everything. To clean up his image, Luc has to find a nice normal relationship...and Oliver Blackwood is as nice and normal as they come. He's a barrister, an ethical vegetarian, and someone who has never inspired a moment of scandal in his life. He’s perfect boyfriend material.

great read, will be recommending to all my friends
Revisado: 01-19-22
I loved this one so much. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. I didn't like Luc at first, he was absolutely a dick, but he became a better person throughout the story. I appreciate that Oliver wasn't perfect either, that these were 2 human beings who are broken but fit well together. made it much more realistic and it makes me feel like love and life could actually be like that.
The narrator's voice was good, though I felt like the women's voices were a bit nasally. Aside from that, I LOVED how he portrayed emotion with his voice, from talking thickly like a character had just been crying, or fast when Luc was thinking "f*ck f*ck f*ck". And as far as I could tell, he did an excellent job doing a variety of accents and making sure no two characters sounded alike. I never got confused on who was speaking. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more reads by Joe Jameson.
