Excellent series

I have read the entire series. I can tell you that its just gets better and better. Maas is an excellent writer and has many twists and turns in this series. I almost didn’t buy it due to so many mixed reviews but I’m honestly perplexed why some people didn’t like it? I also love Elizabeth Evans as a narrator. I enjoyed her in the Shadow and bone series. Again, others complained about her and again am perplexed by it. Buy it and make your own decisions about it!

I was super bummed when it ended! Its a good book, but they they say “cocked an eyebrow” every few sentences LOL. Interesting storyline, good character building. I honestly thought it was YA, boy I was wrong! This book gets a little steamy! The narrator has really nice voice, though not super strong in different character voices. Her best is between the main and her pixie Gully. The other male and female voices are passable but not much differentiation. I know I cant’t wait for the next book. I’ll be “cocking eyebrows” until then!

A great series, even better than the first book

I really enjoyed the first book, the Bone Witch. The Heart Forger knocked it out of the park!! I cannot believe this book was available with an audible membership. I would love to see this book made into a movie if the right director/team does it justice. Can’t wait to listen to the next book!! You won’t be disappointed! Also, some complained about the narrator…she is more quiet than others, I had to turn it up all the way. But her skill as a narrator made up for it. She was phenomenal. The male narrator was okay, but isn’t the bulk of the book….But is interlaced through the story as the bard in present day, while Emily woo zeller is the main character in the past.

Great second book!

I really enjoyed this book. I enjoy the new characters they introduce. I know there are a lot of bad reviews, but I adore this series. This is my second time listening through! Plus watched the Netflix series 3 times!

This is a great series! Leigh Bardugo captivated me with this grisha verse. I will be honest...I watched the Netflix series first, which is amazing! Ben Barnes plays such a good darkling. I also loved him in the Punisher netflix series. He plays a dark character so well! So I became fascinated and looked up the books and listened to the triology in a week (or less)!

I thought the whole thing was captivating and dived into a new world of fantasy. It’s like I was longing for something like this and didn’t even know it. My heart has been empty since Harry Potter and Game of thrones ended (tv version at least).

Don’t listen to the bad reviews. Make your own decision about it after you read it. Also, huge shout out to the narrator, Lauren Fortgang...
she is fantastic!

Sad but short...that’s it??

I have to admit when I read the comments it was short I thought maybe they were just exaggerating or something....but it really is short! It is a sad story and it’s not half bad...but it ended so abruptly like the story really never started before it’s finished. I didn’t understand the ending but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I won’t say why....other than the story seems to lack closure...well for me anyway. Expect a short story...like a kid’s nursery/story.

Love the books, incredible narration

I am a huge fan of the books and movies. Listening to the book by Jim Dale was like a brand new experience for me! Jim Dale is very talented! Loved it!

Great book and great narrator!

I couldn’t believe how talented the narrator Jim Dale was! His voice for Hagrid and professor mcgonagall were spot on from the movie!!! I highly recommend this book! I watched the movies a 1000 times and I have read the books once or twice but this made the experience feel brand new!
