So so brilliant! J. Bengtsson truely goes above and beyond my expectations with every new book! I suggest reading them in order starting with Cake, but once you read the first one you will be hooked! The family and character's are so intriguingly unique and hilarious, I love how triumph and drama are mixed with humor and levity throughout the stories.
Andi and Zachary both do amazing jobs as always and really make it a joy to listen.

Interesting idea

This is an honest review in exchange for a free copy of this book.
I really liked the idea behind the story line but somewhere in the middle it lost it's spark for me.
I enjoy fiction and fantasy and can say I have never read anything like it.
The beginning and end where both interesting but the middle was complicated for me.

I waited to write this review until finishing all 3 stories in the trilogy, I love the beastly tales, it is one of my go to's so I was excited to see M.J had a new series out. It did NOT disappoint! I love all the fairy tales that she incorporated while keeping to Eloise's story. Beauty and the beast, snow white, Cinderella and more all mixed in 1 series. It was darker than I expected based on all her other book's so I would not recommend to minors but personally it did not make me shy away. I am looking forward to Kellan's POV of her story after she leaves home. To me this series doesn't seemed finished because of the way it hinted she would return for a visit "after what happened to her" it left me intrigued. I also wished tge pig would have turned back into a man and played a more prominate part, maybe at court sentencing or when the guards came to the house for the shoe fitting scene, something.. he kind of got swept under the rug. Maybe he will be revealed in Kellans story.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
okay The story it's self wasn't really my cup of tea, not bad just not for me. It was a little slow paced, and dragged on in my opinion. It had promise starting out but then the middle was kind of slow until the end.
The narrator was monotone and I noticed she did her "male" voice even when it was clearly the females talking or vise versa.
I would recommend this book to younger adults (18-22 range), the characters are around the same age.

3rd book in the series

This is the 3rd and final book in the Shadow Veil series. I was given this book in exchange for a honest review.
I like this series, there are a few things that did not add up for me in the story line and I thought by book 3 things should have sped up a bit but all in all book 3 was a good read and a good series.

I loved it. The narration spot on and it was a really good read.
There is obviously going to be atleast 1 more book because this one left way too many loose ends not to need one but intriguing story all the same!

I liked this story but..

Just my opinion but not as good as the first book. I probably would not have finished it if I had not already read the first. I liked the story during certain parts but overall it had too much of them both jumping to conclusions and drama for me.
