Historia
Warbreaker is the story of two sisters, who happen to be princesses, the god king one of them has to marry, the lesser god who doesn’t like his job, and the immortal who’s still trying to undo the mistakes he made hundreds of years ago. Their world is one in which those who die in glory return as gods to live confined to a pantheon in Hallandren’s capital city and where a power known as BioChromatic magic is based on an essence known as breath that can only be collected one unit at a time from individual people.

graphic audio is top notch!
Revisado: 03-19-23
I'm a huge Michael kramer and Kate reading fan, and I've listened to everything possible from Brandon Sanderson with those two audiobook narrators thinking they would not be any better. this narrator is almost as good as Michael Kramer and Kate reading, but I like the addition of the cinematic effects and music in this version. I definitely plan to listen to more graphic audio novels!

great rendition, but time for full cast production
Revisado: 01-23-19
I read all the HP books years ago, watched all the movies, and wanted a reread so choose the audio book. the narrator was meh, not my favorite ever but brought many characters to life. however, he has some pretty annoying habits, like when he says Harry it's harryyyyyy? not sure why and it really got annoying. otherwise, great book with ok narrator, where's the full cast production already?

great overview
Revisado: 10-11-18
full disclosure, I'm a scientist so I didn't find this overly technical or too many details. On the contrary, I was hoping he would go a little bit more into RNA and RNA chemistry. it was a good overview of all the different opinions and ideas of origins of life, and he didn't seem too biased. I found the book easy to listen to, interesting and it gave me a lot of new ideas and things that I didn't think about before which is what I was looking for, I would highly recommend this book.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

damn good book with an amazing performance!
Revisado: 05-15-18
wow! I could not out this book down So to speak! rc Bray has an incredible range of voices that really brought this to life. it was as technical/NASA speak as I, a layman, wanted, enough to make this story believable. I was in the edge of my seat until the last 15 minutes!

Historia
Winter lasts most of the year at the edge of the Russian wilderness, and in the long nights, Vasilisa and her siblings love to gather by the fire to listen to their nurse’s fairy tales. Above all, Vasya loves the story of Frost, the blue-eyed winter demon. Wise Russians fear him, for he claims unwary souls, and they honor the spirits that protect their homes from evil. Then Vasya’s widowed father brings home a new wife from Moscow. Fiercely devout, Vasya’s stepmother forbids her family from honoring their household spirits, but Vasya fears what this may bring.

interesting enough
Revisado: 03-15-17
the antagonist is throughly detestable, no redeeming qualities whatsoever so I found myself somewhat bored/uninterested in how his part of the story progressed. the story overall was fairly linear, no twists or turns to keep the reader guessing. however, the main character was interesting and enjoyable, making it worth sticking through to the end of the story. and I thought the ending was pretty anticlimactic, was hoping for more closure or even fanfare. I'm left with a feeling of Meh. the book got me through a couple of days of work, but certainly no reason for a reread.
