A Breath of Fresh Air

Once again this episode of Pod Save America discussion was insightful and unbiased. It was a breath of fresh air and helped me to better understand and why President Biden chose this moment not to run and why Vice President Harris is the best Democratic party's nominee to take down Donald Trump.

This is a wonderful recording

I am so happy to have found this recording of the Qur’an and made a point of listening to it before going to sleep at night. I wanted God’s words to be the last sound that I heard before drifting off to sleep. This is a wonderful translation and recording of the Holy Qur’an.

One of the best

This story reveals Maigret at his most vulnerable in that he's on holiday and cannot interfere with a sensational murder case that has taken place in his absence. The story shares more interactions between Maigret and his wife. There were a few very funny moments in the story that caused me to laugh out loud. I am a great fan of Simenon and the Maigret stories. This is definitely one of the best in the series for me. It was very entertaining until the very end.

An eloquent eulogy for a deceased king

Of this rumination upon the nature of death, and what happens after we die, the central message of this sermon is that death is a part of the natural order of life. So, we must not be afraid of it and try in live to cultivate ourselves so as to be pleasing to ourselves and to God. There are many truths spoken of in this sermon, but the truest idea put forth is that as we are in life so we shall be in death. That’s an awfully chilling notion because the world as it is tries to cultivate the most vile and base that is in us. I believe that fighting to be a kind, decent, and happy person when so many forces are seeking to take that from one is fighting the good fight. To believe in a life to come, and to be happy with who are now, will help one conquer death, the King of Terrors.

A wonderful performance!

it's just so rewarding to hear a piece of writing read as the author intended. Simon Brett brought the characters that he created with such tour de force that it whetted my appetite for more. i love the story, the humour, and the wonderfully realized characters in this novel.
