Love this series. Has an actually honorable protagonist, great story development (at least for me), and cute Bebe and even sculpting.

Narrator I actually enjoyed a lot. The sound effects, laughter and other touches breathed life into the story for me. Her voice sounds cute, and lightens the heavy story setting. There were some mispronunciations I noticed, but pretty rare.

I would buy the other books if she narrated them. Wish these were all on audible.

Very well executed - top-rank LitRPG

Enjoyable start that didn't squander its potential. Ingredients not too different from other Lit RPGs but well seasoned and delicious. Shows great promise for future books.

Out of four different Lit RPG series I've experienced, only Shaman Mayon can compete with this strong storytelling.

Room for improvement:
No high schooler learns emotional maturity and communication skills that quickly, and especially without making painfully embarrassing mistakes first. This is still quite minor. It felt artificially convenient, but the story invested enough points in vitality to survive the injury.

For the narrator, great job and enjoyed sound effects. Stuttering was a bit over-the-top and please opt for the other pronunciation of trebuchet.

Wonderful Surprise

You may be wondering, "Who is this Jonathan Renshaw and can he write fantasy?"

He's one of my new favorite authors and his writing is magical.

Other favorites: Rothfuss, Sanderson, J. Sullivan, Weeks and Brett.

This is a long journey of a book. If you get through it, and you likely will, you'll be very attached to the characters by the end. And you'll want to read the next book right away.

Very, very happy with the writing. Very, very happy with the performance. As the fantasy content filter of my family I look forward to recommending this book to everyone I love and sharing in their delight when they experience this story.

Riyria Disaster Vacation

This was another fun adventure with Royce and Hadrian.

You'll enjoy this title if you think the duo are too lucky or successful. Dulgath is a rough ride for them and I felt frustrated on their behalf -- I've never seen them this incompetent. Nonetheless, it's a great adventure that features trademark excellent dialogue and character development. It also tells us more about their world, including cultures and religions. This will be a great segue way into Age of Myth.

Short and enjoyable.
