Historia
The islands of Lake Wranglestone are a safe haven in a world filled with the Restless Dead. But as the lake freezes over, there’s nothing to stop them from crossing the ice. Peter has never really felt at home in a place where practicality and grit are valued above all else. He’s nothing like Cooper - the boy he’s always watched from afar. But when he is ordered to join Cooper out on the mainland, they find more than just each other. There they unearth a dark secret about Wranglestone’s past. One that forces the pair to question everything they’ve ever known.

Historia
Get this: you wake up in the hospital. You're not feeling so hot—to put it mildly—and also, you're surrounded by hordes of zombies! After trying to run away, you eventually find a map of the building, but guess what? It's in French! Why? 'Cuz you're in France! You've got nothing on you but a baseball bat, and the zombies are just one step away from biting you on your bare backside. But don't worry, there's still hope, because you've got your own personal shelter in spacetime.

Uncomfortable misogyny.
Revisado: 10-18-24
Apparently the writer is an aggressive misogynist. Main character is an obvious incel. Females are regularly called stupid and every Female is identified by breast size and looks more often than her name. Also, every female is constantly throwing herself at the main character and drowning him in compliments. The whole thing comes across as laughably stupid. It’s like if the world‘s biggest incel wrote a story. The main hero has a camp filled with horny beautiful women who idolize him…. And just a handful of men who could never compete with him because he is so awesome. All of the women totally understand why the main character talks to them in an incredibly degrading way and occasionally hits them. And in spite of verbal and physical abuse, they are constantly drooling over him.
Also, I have no clue why this book was associated with LGBTQIA plus fiction. There is one background character who might be a lesbian but her whole existence is to satisfy a lesbian fantasy for the male reader… a lesbian fantasy that doesn’t come true because she is busy throwing herself at the main character.
Seriously, this book is really fracking stupid.

Historia
Ambrose wakes up on the Coordinated Endeavor with no memory of a launch. There’s more that doesn’t add up: evidence indicates strangers have been on board, the ship’s operating system is voiced by his mother, and his handsome, brooding shipmate has barricaded himself away. But nothing will stop Ambrose from making his mission succeed—not when he’s rescuing his own sister.

An amazing story that just happens to involve two men who are madly in love
Revisado: 02-03-24
I wasn’t expecting that. I wasn’t expecting this book to be so absolutely incredibly good. I’ve listened to a lot of gay sci-fi and this one is in a whole league of its own. It isn’t just a beautiful love story, it’s really really really good sci-fi.

The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history. Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last.

I almost never leave reviews for books.
Revisado: 10-24-23
Just…. wow. How can you not read this book and see that the people surrounding her were literally just some of the worst human beings. Also, screw you Justin Timberlake. Her pain was your ticket to the top and you took full advantage of it. Not only did you cash in at the time but you never went back and tried to make it right. Gross

Historia
For centuries, men and women have manned lighthouses to ensure the safe passage of ships. It is a lonely job and a thankless one for the most part. Until something goes wrong. Until a ship is in distress. In the twenty-third century, this job has moved into outer space. A network of beacons allows ships to travel across the Milky Way at many times the speed of light. These beacons are built to be robust. They never break down. They never fail. At least, they aren’t supposed to.

Historia
At first, only a few things are known about the celestial object that astronomers dub Rama. It is huge, weighing more than ten trillion tons. And it is hurtling through the solar system at inconceivable speed. Then a space probe confirms the unthinkable: Rama is no natural object. It is, incredibly, an interstellar spacecraft. Space explorers and planet-bound scientists alike prepare for mankind's first encounter with alien intelligence.

Historia
Brady Garrett is back in space, this time as an unwilling member of a team of humans seeking to study the alien Faceless and their technology. It's not the first time Brady's life has been in the hands of the Faceless leader Kai-Ren, and if there's one thing Brady hates it's being reminded exactly how powerless he is. Although dealing with the enigmatic Faceless might actually be easier than trying to figure out where he stands with the other humans on board, particularly when one of them is his boyfriend's ex.

Historia
In 12 fiercely funny, mind-expanding chapters, Dawkins explains how the natural world arose without a designer - the improbability and beauty of the "bottom-up programming" that engineers an embryo or a flock of starlings - and challenges head-on some of the most basic assumptions made by the world’s religions: Do you believe in God? Which one? Is the Bible a "Good Book"? Is adhering to a religion necessary, or even likely, to make people good to one another? Outgrowing God is a concise, provocative guide to thinking for yourself.
