Historia
Now, in a fascinating series of reflections, anecdotes, stories, and exercises, Ram Dass gives us a unique and accessible road map for experiencing divinity in everyday life. In the engaging, conversational style that has made his teachings so popular for decades, Ram Dass traces our journey of consciousness as it is reflected in one of Hinduism's most sacred texts. The Gita teaches a system of yogas, or "paths for coming to union with God."

Book is wonderful
Revisado: 05-20-19
The Readers mispronunciations are so bad and read as if he knew really had any idea how to pronounce the words. It would have been nice if the reader had of taken to time to learn the words from a speaker of the language he is slaughtering. The least he could have done is listen to a couple of the many books you already have on the subject such as "The Mahabharata" by Krishna Das that audible currently has or even another version of the many versions Audible has of the "Bhagavad Gita" first. I know the story well but his mispronunciations caused me to dislike this version just because it was so confusing as to who/what the reader was talking about. The total mispronunciations completely take away the absolute Beauty and Wonder the story is trying to read to us. I guess in order to be able to truly hear the beauty of Ram Dass' Book I will just have to read it myself and forget listening to Audible.

I felt that this book and reading was just Fabulous! The Power and Peace presented here was so beautiful. It completely opened to the Real what life is about. I presented the importance and beauty and power of Love (complete Love-way beyond our little immature idea of love).
Thank You So Very Much!!! 💞

Historia
"True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are." Social scientist Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW, has sparked a global conversation about the experiences that bring meaning to our lives - experiences of courage, vulnerability, love, belonging, shame, and empathy. In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization.

AWESOME!!!!!
Revisado: 09-17-17
What made the experience of listening to Braving the Wilderness the most enjoyable?
The realness of the information!
Have you listened to any of Brené Brown’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
yes i have listened to them all. I don't really care for the ones that Brene hasn't performed. But when she is doing the presentation-the importance of what she is getting across is obvious.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Having grown up Texan I totally love the importance she shows about how you where raised makes a difference on how you respond. and yes gyped-is a very common word meaning nothing about "Gypsies"-at 59 is the first time I had ever heard of that! :-D
Any additional comments?
Wonderful!!!

Although there is now a plethora of books by and about Rumi, I thought it might be instructive to republish a small portion of Edward Henry Whinfield's English translation of Rumi's Persian masterpiece. I think it is vitally important in today's social climate to focus on those aspects of Islam which elevate humankind and I can think of no better place to start than with the Sufi mystics of Islam, of which Rumi is the most famous (and perhaps finest) example.
