Excellent characters, good story line, par performance. Hated for it to be over. Nothing I would have expected before hand at all.

Julianne Westcott was living the kind of life that other Protestant girls in prewar Liverpool could only dream about: old money, silk ball gowns, and prominent young men lining up to escort her. Historia
Growing up, Bianca St. Ives knew she was different from all her friends. Instead of playing hopscotch or combing her dolls' hair, she studied martial arts with sensei masters and dismantled explosives with special-ops retirees. Her father prepped her well to carry on the family business. Now a striking beauty with fierce skills, the prodigy has surpassed the master.

Hooked me to suspense. Can't wait for sequels.
Revisado: 07-23-17
If you could sum up The Ultimatum in three words, what would they be?
Exciting from beginning to end. Hated to put down.
What other book might you compare The Ultimatum to and why?
Witness by Nora Roberts. Also great suspense, but more "people-ly".
What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?
Every bit. As in the others book she narrates I have listened to. She stays intense but hints at feeling.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending! Also, Doc's character interplay.
Any additional comments?
Great story, excellent narrator. Love Audible.

Historia
As they prepare to relocate to Charleston, SC, Olivia, the ultimate New Yorker, has reservations about the promise she made to retire in the Lowcountry, where Nick wants to return home and lead a more peaceful life. They are moving north to south, fast pace versus slow pace, and downsizing. Nick is ecstatic. Olivia is not. She can't let Nick know that their finances are not what he thought. Her client list is evaporating, their monetary reserves are dwindling, and maybe that house she picked out on Sullivan's Island needs too much work.

A great feel-good story throughout. Loved it!
Revisado: 03-16-17
If you could sum up All Summer Long in three words, what would they be?
One of her best.
What was one of the most memorable moments of All Summer Long?
Totally unexpected ending. A clever twist.
What about Bernadette Dunne’s performance did you like?
Her tone, her expressiveness, humor, feeling...everything. Especially the southern accent.
If you could take any character from All Summer Long out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Bob or Mauritsa.
Any additional comments?
Every book I've read by Dorothea Benton Frank has been thoroughly enjoyable. Just glad I found one more.
