Easing the burden

As a husband, father, single income earner, I am constantly tempted to stress about my stocks every day in relation to an uncertain future. I enjoyed this almost "stoic" approach to money, knowing that most things are unpredictable, and only specific unpredictable events make an impact on markests, and people are very poor forecasters of the markets and the world at large. This should help me a little more to sleep well at night.

Preferred pronouns, top and bottom surgery justifications, pointless story jumping around trying to find a plot, deeply disappointed. No wonder it is free. Only listened to it because Brandon Frazier is in it.

But a good story. Mankind united in suffering. the more poor a man, the more charitable he is, as can be seen from the last, and most uncomfortable act of charity in the story.

Confirms and develops my thoughts

This is a must read/listen after you are finished with Tolkien's books. Masterfully done, this book put into words what my heart felt while flying through the pages of the Hobbit and mostly the LoR. Fantastic work, Mark Eddy Smith.

I couldn't have enjoyed this book when I was younger. No action, no thrills, no nail-biting cliffhangers. Nevertheless, it's a story about the human person and our choices, our will. It's a story about us all.

Pay attention. A lot of spiritual truths in this book of spiritual warfare. We are all wicked! Like so many, I had to pay close attention to the many Russian names. We are all more or less Demetre at times, Alyosha some other times, torn like Ivan, scoundrels like their father. And many of us, though "innocent of blood" still carry murder in our hearts. Pray God is merciful! This book is worthy of your read or listen.
