Historia
This “beautiful, brave book,” (Jenna Bush Hager, the Today show) is the story of Rebel Wilson’s remarkable personal transformation, from a painfully shy child in Australia who literally had to be dragged to drama classes and achieved break-out success in the US through iconic roles in Pitch Perfect, Bridesmaids, and Isn’t It Romantic.

Revisado: 05-12-24
Oh Rebel! What an AMAZING life story!
I honestly didn’t know much of your acting career, but this audio book and listening to you read it was EVERYTHING!! I laughed and cried throughout. Congrats on all your many rewards and I hope Royce always knows how loved she is 💜

Not feeling it
Revisado: 05-03-23
Between the narrator and the content, just not feeling it. For some this guy is a big spiritual/personal development guru. NOT to me. 👎🏼

Historia
Documenting the life of wandering spirits and their impact on vulnerable human targets, Susan Martinez offers a radical departure from the standard psychological explanations for a host of pathological behaviors - including multiple personality, autism, epilepsy, migraines, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, PTSD, self-destructive urges, and strange outbursts - and reveals that hallucinations are often true impressions of spirit input.

Worst Book I've gotten on audible lately.
Revisado: 09-15-20
The narration on this book is garbage "Quote/End Quote" all the way through this thing. I read all sorts of books on the metaphysical and this is the worst, most disappointing one I can remember in recent times. I spent $15 on this and I want my money back. I definitely have buyers remorse on this title!! Save yourself the money - get something else.

Historia
As an atheist with a background in fundamentalism, Bucky Sinister was skeptical of 12-step groups when the time came for him to get sober. He was afraid of losing his artistic abilities and had big problems with the higher power concept. In spite of his hesitations, he stuck with the program and it rewarded him greatly. In Get Up, he shares the knowledge he gained on his journey, from being afraid of AA philosophies to embracing them, motivating others to join him in their own efforts to get clean.

Great!
Revisado: 06-16-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Get Up: A 12-step Guide to Recovery for Misfits, Freaks, and Weirdos to be better than the print version?
"Bucky" breaks down 12 step into a manageable format and brings it to you in a funny, sarcastic, and most importantly "real-life" way. I've struggled with many aspects of the fellowship (vs. the program) and in this book he helps cut through all the garbage that many people like to preach is the "12 step way" of life and brings it home in an easy to understand, practical and useful way.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Get Up: A 12-step Guide to Recovery for Misfits, Freaks, and Weirdos?
At the very end where he says "You matter"
What about Sean Conroy’s performance did you like?
His inflection, real life talking style. He's not robotic like so many of the audio books. He knows how to talk like he's performing and also in just a conversational manner.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I did.
Any additional comments?
I wish there were 10 more of these by him
