Historia
Rejected by a sister who has allowed her new status as wife to Mr. Bingley to make her proud, Elizabeth Bennet goes to her uncle's estate in Derbyshire, ostensibly to assist her cousin in her introduction to society. In reality, Elizabeth feels there is nothing left for her in the neighborhood of her birth. Her uncle's estate is small, and Elizabeth must work while there, and though she finds her tasks easy to bear. She quickly becomes close to her young cousin and uncle, though her aunt is a hard, demanding woman.

Story was very good, Reader was excellent!

*Spoilers*
I thought the fact that Caroline was the poison infecting Jane was quite obvious, and should have been caught much sooner, but besides that I really enjoyed this story. The supporting characters were nicely developed, and I thought showed the complexity of human motivations well without making the story an epic, especially Mrs. Drummond and Lady Emily.
As for the reader, I'm off to see if I'm interested in anymore books she has read cause I enjoyed every minute of the read.

Historia
Dark curls and an unforgettably sweet laugh were all he knew of his sister's rescuer. Later, a second glimpse showed her to be lovely, and he heard her melodious laugh again. Darcy wondered what it would be like to meet this remarkable, and remarkably lovely, young woman. Would the spirit that caused her to go to the aid of a stranger be able to bring some joy to his lonely life? Would they ever meet, or would he always be left wondering?

Where is Elizabeth Bennett?
Revisado: 11-07-18
I love the plot of this story, and the development of almost all the characters is excellent. I do, however, have a MAJOR problem with it. This heroine is not Elizabeth Bennett. There are exactly two scenes where Elizabeth shows up (when she is saving Georgiana), but in all the other scenes she is meek and mild. There are so many dampened cheeks, moistened eyes, and down cast eyes that this creation is more demure maiden in need of a fainting couch, then the vibrant and bold Elizabeth.
Yes, in P&P Elizabeth cries several times, but always in times of great passion and emotional turmoil, not at the drop of a hat. And yes, she even had down cast eyes, but only when the man she loves and doesn't know if he still loves her is in the room. What is even more frustrating is that it is totally unnecessary. The impertinent, playful, intrepid Elizabeth would have fit in this story very well.

Historia
Jenny's single-parent life revolves around her kids and her job, which means that hours of Animal Planet and strings of computer code are about all she has time for. Not that Jenny's looking for adventure or romance - she's the type of woman who believes in playing it safe. When Jenny is called upon to do some consulting for the Bourbon Street Boys - a New Orleans private security firm - she knows she should stay away.

Story was good, Reader not so much
Revisado: 08-26-17
The Reader, Elizabeth Godley, was nasal and high pitched more often then not. She also used a baby talk voice for characters who were not children, specifically for the heroine's sister. Very annoying. She did read with a lot of energy, her words were clear, and some of her accents where fun.

Historia
Quiet and aloof rock star Jake McKallister and outspoken, vivacious college student Casey Caldwell are polar opposites: Casey is bubbly and talkative; Jake is reclusive. Casey enjoyed a picturesque childhood; Jake’s childhood could only be described as a well-publicized nightmare. Jake’s life revolves around music, and Casey can’t carry a tune.

So much more then just a romance!
Revisado: 07-17-17
I loved this book. If I could give it 6 stars I would.
The story, the way it unfolds, the drama and heartache, the complexity and believability of the characters, the different POVs shown, the humor, all of it was amazing. I will read anything written by this author from now on.
The readers also did an excellent job. I have gone on to listen to several more readings by Andi Arndt.

No imagination.
Revisado: 07-15-17
The premise was good and had much potential, but not one single risk was taken (you got close with Miss Bingley and Wickham, but you chickened out). No one ended up with an unexpected partner, and I could practically say each line of all the dialogue that was going to be said before each character said it, with one notible exception...when you rediculously put the words of the practical in love Charlotte into the mouth of the over the top romantic Emma. What was that!?
Also, Elizabeth and Darcy's love was hard won in P&P, you did not create nearly enough of a foundation for them to reach an understanding. Same to a lesser degree with Emma and Knightly. We all know they are prefect together, but you needed to put a change of feelings into the mind of Emma once or twice too. Until her epiphany in Emma she didn't have the slightest clue that she was in love with him. Although I will say the way you had Knightly propose was very sweet and prefect.
