“If I could build you a boyfriend like a Build-A-Bear, he would come out as Ford Grant.”

-Frenemies to Lovers
-Brother’s Best Friend
-Small Town
-He falls first
-Billionaire

Rosie Belmont has been the girl on Ford Grant’s mind since they were teens. And yes, Ford GRANT as in Willa GRANT!! **SWOON* The problem is Rosie is Ford’s Best Friend’s baby sister. He has been named Forbes Hottest Billionaire, but that’s the last thing he cares about. All he wants to do is open a recording studio in the small town of Rose Hill.

What ends up happening? A young-girl shows up on his door step, claiming to be his daughter. All the while Rosie Belmont is begging him to hire her, after she’s wrongfully fired from her big corporate job. So Ford is trying to keep his feelings, for Rosie, at arm’s length, while trying to figure out how to care for a teenage girl.

“Because as much as I don’t need a knight in shining armor to defend my honor, I’m relieved I have one who feels compelled to do so.”

I am convinced there is something Elsie Silver puts in her books that makes me an addict. The minute I start anything she writes, I cannot put it down. I was glued to this audiobook for a full 24 hours. Any minute I had to listen, I was. Vanessa Edwin and Zachary Webber are EXCELLENT!!

“That journal entry is fascinating, but all wrong. I was at home when you called that night. And I broke every speed limit to get to you.”

This book was in no short supply of witty banter and inappropriate jokes. The relationship we see develop between Ford and Rosie was something to admire. It was sweet and wild. Rosie is a firecracker, a perfect balance to Ford’s nerdy, thoughtful personality. The best part was how Cora, his daughter, and Rosie would gang up on him. Cora & Ford’s developing relationship was the sweetest. It truly brought the entire book together.

After having your heart ripped out by Suzanne Collins, a girl needs a pick me up, this book was that pick me up.

Finely Buckley loves nothing more than a good storm chase. She’s a master’s student, and storm photographer. Ryker West is not only one of the hottest storms chasers around, but also her older professor.

The relationship between Ryker and Finely has been blurring for quite sometime. But, when their first storm chase together goes wrong in every which way, it is the reason that they finally cross that line. Now, they are stuck together on a research trip with his entire team, wondering if they made a mistake, or is this everything they have ever wanted.

As a girl who grew up loving Twister, this fed into that fandom. It was just the kind of short romance that I truly needed. I really enjoyed this audiobook and had a lot of fun with it.

I can always count on Kayla for a pick me up. Her books are always fun and somehow making you feel good. Whirlwind’s side character Joey was probably one of the greatest parts of this book. By the end, I wanted to buy a Tornado Daddy t-shirt.

4⭐️/4🌶️

🌶️Accidental Pregnancy (not his)
🌶️ brat & dom
🌶️ forbidden romance
🌶️ student/professor

I don’t think Sara Cate ever misses. This series has been so good!

Lucas Goode has made his work his life. He’s dedicated to it, nothing can deviate him from his goals. At least, until Sadie Green walks into his classroom. She comes rushing in like a storm of chaos, throwing everything inside him off kilter. None of the consequences can stop Lucas from pursuing Sadie.

K, who truly doesn’t love a good student and professor fantasy. The pairing of Lucas and Sadie is phenomenal. The chemistry. The brattiness. Her teaching him. I love it so much. Their story pulls at the heart strings. They have one of the more simple, least dramatic stories, yet it’s so relatable. I think that’s why it pulls you in harder.

Sapphic, Villain origin story. Have I caught your attention? Good. Because you need to read this book! This is not a fairytale. This is not a romance. This is a story about how the driving force in someone’s life can ultimately create a monster within.

Ayleth is our FMC who struggles deeply with the death of a loved one. The never ending pressure of being the woman her mother pushes her to be. Finally, the heartache of a lover shattering your heart. The characters are complex. The story is familiar, yet unique. It’s captivating and spellbinding.

I praise how Heather Walter has written these characters. It’s a world much unlike our own, but the same all at once.

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas was THAT girl for the 2024 holiday season. Now, Holiday themed books can really be hit and miss for some people. When I get to December, I am ready for just light reading.

The holidays are stressful enough as it is and can feel overwhelming. So, to pick up a book as lighthearted and funny as this one felt like the perfect escape.

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas is a very loose interpretation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It reads almost like fanfic but so brilliantly.

You have...
-enemies to lovers
-fake dating
-second chance romance
-holiday competition
-grinch theme
-grumpy x sunshine

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was done really well and had me cackling on my commute. My boyfriend even listened to parts with me, sorry, he did not listen to the candy cane scene, and he still enjoyed it. Its cheesey. Its very much like a hallmark film. I loved this romcom and can't wait for the sequel.

Slow burn. Mafia Romance. Enemies to Lovers. Forced proximity. OH EM GEE!!

Trisha, Trisha, Trisha! You need to write more Mafia romance because this was too good! It’s dark and gritty. It’s spicy and you can feel the tension pouring from this book!

It’s family rivalry. It’s passion. It’s tension. It’s gruesome. It’s what we love about dark romance. 😈💜

this book was HOOOOOOOOOT. like surface of the sun hot.

we are talking 20% plot, 80% gird your loins ladies....a gents...because holy wow!

we have 2 sexy as hell lumberSNACKS and 1 curious business man. Nathan crashes his car in the mountains a few days before Christmas. Only to be found by Fox and Morgan, who just so happened to be out in the snow "looking" for their Christmas Tree.

This book turns into a story of curiosity and sexual awakening. I AM HERE FOR IT. But dont come here for a complex plot, this doesn't have that. AND THATS OKAY! We can love our smut just as much as we love our complex world building.

I do love these characters and the way they each compliment each other. This book has a way of teaching you about the importance of communication in relationships, as well as just owning your sexuality. love love LOVE this one Kayla Grosse!

recommendation: keep your partner close by! or read it together :)

We once again join the headstrong, American heiress, Ruby Vaughn, through a gothic mystery. The Secret of Three Fates is the second installment in the Ruby Vaughn series written by Jess Armstrong. Jess Armstrong really wowed us when she debuted with The Curse of Penryth Hall. When I found out a sequel was coming, I couldn’t jump on it faster.

Ruby Vaughn finds herself following her employer/roommate, Mr. Owen, to Manhunts Castle, under the ruse they are seeking manuscripts for her bookshop. It is when they arrive that Ruby soon finds out they are there to attend a seance with the Three Fates. As with any mystery, things do not go as planned and one of the Three Fates has been murdered. Ruby and Mr. Owen are the prime suspects. In order to clear their names, Ruby pairs up with Ruan Kivell once again to uncover the truth.

This book is for the lovers of Victorian-era Historical Mysteries, with an other worldly element. The Secret of Three Fates will constantly keep you guessing. I feel like Armstrong purposely writes this book to make you second guess yourself, and rooting for romance. However, this is not a romance (even though there is obviously something brewing between Ruby & Ruan)

I cannot wait to read the next novel. I need to know more about Ruby’s past. What is brewing between Ruan & Ruby? Will they ever get together? Are we journeying overseas next?

i LOVE Alix E. Harrow. I LOOOOOOOVE ALIX E. HARROW. She truly has this way with words.

This was one of those books that has been sitting on my TBR for as long as I could remember. So, when my bookclub decided to make this our January book of the month. I was ecstatic.

January Scaller embarks on a whimiscal journey of self-discovery after finding a strange book. This books talks of worlds beyond secret doors. It speaks of love, adventure, and new exotic places. There's something about the story within this book that feels familiar.

I did find the beginning a bit confusing, and difficult to get into. But once The Ten Thousand Doors of January found it's footing. It really took off for me. My favorite part of Alix's writing is her ability to use words to paint descriptive pictures in my head. One minute, I am reading words on a page. The next, I am being transported into another world and no longer feel like I am reading. Thats EXACTLY what Harrow did in this novel.

The way that The Ten Thousand Doors of January manages to feel like a Historical Fiction and a Fantasy all at the same time. It’s spellbinding and at times too relatable.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January mimics the way our society is trying to censor voices. Harrow writes about closing doors to worlds and societies unlike our own. This book paints a picture that anything different is dangerous. I love the way Harrow uses these doors as a metaphor for literature. These doors are a symbol of progression, objectiveness, and freedom of information. Then, you have this society so scared of the doors, they must close them, in fear that the “evil” lurking behind them will destroy this world.

It all just feels too relatable.

Overall, I am once again impressed by something written by Alix E. Harrow.

ps. i apologize if this review is choppy. my brain is running on fumes and i felt a NEEED to get this review out and share with the world.

✨AUDIO REVIEW COPY✨

4.75⭐️/5🌶️

-Age Gap
-forced proximity
-cheating (but the good kind)
-forbidden romance

This is what they call SMUT. This is the kind of book that smut readers THRIVE on! Power goes from 0 to 100 bypassing 60 in just a few chapters. It was an absolute, HOLY F**K, type of ride. Hold onto your panties ladies!!

This wondrous age gap romance starts with our leading man Mr. Jett “Daddy” Powers. A man who is engaged to the most god awful woman I have ever read. Its a loveless relationship filled with surface level sex. It’s not until his fiancé’s daughter comes “home” for the summer, a daughter he never met, that his entire world is ROCKED!!!

This is for readers who watched Jerry Springer or Maury when they were home sick from school. THE DRAMA. Oh, the drama. This is exactly the type of drama I love in a book. It had me squealing and rooting, and yelling at my radio. My blood pressure was up at times. Then I was heavily panting at others.

Cassandra Robbins knows how to write an entertaining novel. I really felt myself getting carried away into this book and never wanting to stop the book. It only took 2 books, realistically one, to earn a serious fan out of me. I cannot wait to dive into another book by this smut goddess!!

Thank you Cassandra Robbins for this copy. I LOVED EVERY SECOND!!!
