Good story. Narration lacking.

A great story that avoids the typical shifter cliches like super healing and alpha toxic behavior but I have to say the narration was an unbelievable let down. The female voice was great but as soon as she tried to speak the male voice it was almost enough for me to return the book. However the story was good enough for me to continue.
I won’t be purchasing the next parts because of that.

Boring

I don’t understand the hype.
This book is as predictable as it is boring.
Rich super smart guy falls for a plain old Jane and for some reason can’t stay away.
This book might be steamy in some scenes but so are a 1000 other romance novels with the same premise.
The story is just so boring. I skipped through whole chapters without really missing anything.

No way I would ready the next book as it already seems to show signs of the same old boring story.
Don’t waste your time nor money.
The performance was ok but the female narrator was super annoying with her half whisper voice.

Ok story. Horrible male narrator.

The story was ok. Could have been half the book as the story kept dragging out due to pointless sex scenes.
The male narrator sounds like a old Scottish drunk uncle. Was supper uncomfortable to listen to his parts.
I’m not sure who OK this narrator for this book but both should be fired.
I really wanted to finish this book but just couldn’t stomach the sex scenes as those became more graphic and the narrator just sounded like an old child rapist reading the chapters.
I should have read this book.

Absolutely disgusting!

I picked this book based on the reviews and because I like dark romance but this book was just absolutely disgusting.
In what world would a fraternity would be able to hold a girl as a sex slave and boast about it.
The sexual assault is unforgivable and the story moves along with it like it’s just a footnote. Those boys are nothing but pigs and the girl had so many other options than degrading herself like this.
I seriously wonder about the people that like this book.
Narrators were awful too specially with their female voices.

Triggers all over the place

First of all for those just as confused as I was. This book is a prequel to the first book and follows the story of the heroine and hero before he drugged her and she forgot all of what happens in this book and leads into the next or the first book.

The story is just as rough to listen to as the first book and I’m officially out.
Just to much rape, gaslighting and violence.
But there is an audience for this and I was just curious what happens next. But I just can’t stomach it anymore.
I’m sure the 7 books of this series will just continue as the first two books with him being dominant and her stupid in love.
But the writing is good and the narrators are great too.

Struggled to finish

It was a great idea although not original, but the execution was truly terrible. The story itself was flat and laughable ( the mafia boss falls for a sandwich store owner and although she is as deep as her business, he falls absolutely in love). There is nothing interesting about the hero and heroine and the end is predictable with no twist and turns whatsoever.
And to make this even worse the narrators sound like teenagers reading their assignments in front of a bored class.
Such a waste of a credit.

Long lead up and rushed ending.

There were several times where I forced myself to keep listening.
The whole lead up was just so painfully slow and then there was nothing that shows how families have to live with mental illness. Just a happy ending.
It was not worth the credit.

Nice story

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Not one of the off the mill book.
The narrators male voice and the Irish accent that not even the male narrator himself had was a bit a turn off but overall a fun listen.
