Would you consider the audio edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to be better than the print version?

This version? Absolutely. Totally brought it to life. I read this aloud to my four year old. He loved it then. He loves THIS even more. I love that this narrator did an awesome job of dramatizing the book without making it too distracting.

What did you like best about this story?

I love how the characters change and grow, and each one is challenged to think about what they have, what they need, and what they want. And how they, in spite of their shortcomings (lack of courage, lack of brains, lack of heart, etc) overcome them when the need arises.

What about Anne Hathaway’s performance did you like?

Anne used a different voice for EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in the entire book. That's a LOT of characters! My four year old is obsessed.

What would have made Chicken Little better?

Um, this was a 16 min audiobook. I would expect more than five mins of story. The majority of this audiobook is the narrators talking about their creative process. Ridiculous to think that a child young enough to enjoy this would be interested in that. The actual story performance was OK, very dramatic, but also very rushed and hard to follow. We'll be returning this.

If you could sum up Jack and the Beanstalk in three words, what would they be?

absolutely brilliant performance.

What does Blair Mellow bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Excellent dramatization. Fun sound effects, lots of different voices, dramatic music for added effect, without being distracting. My son even loves the little introduction and closing remarks from "the giant". He got so mad at me for skipping through it and going straight to the story!

Any additional comments?

This is a GREAT option for kids who are new to audiobooks. My four year old listens to it at least once a day.
