Historia
Growing up, I was the rough guy from the wrong neighborhood who couldn’t catch a break. Posy was the pampered girl I tried to impress. But I managed to steal only a single kiss before I had to skip town. Now I’m back, and the tables are turned. Posy runs a struggling pie shop. I’m the VP of a secretive billion dollar security company. Not that I can tell her.

It is the morning of the reaping that will kick off the 10th annual Hunger Games. In the Capitol, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is preparing for his one shot at glory as a mentor in the Games. The once-mighty house of Snow has fallen on hard times, its fate hanging on the slender chance that Coriolanus will be able to out charm, outwit, and outmaneuver his fellow students to mentor the winning tribute. The odds are against him. He’s been given the humiliating assignment of mentoring the female tribute from District 12, the lowest of the low.

Change of perspective
Revisado: 05-23-20
Very interesting view of what made President Snow who he was later on in the series. To change your perspective entirely and see life from the Capital citizens side. The narrator did a good job seeming to voice the different characters, and if people say he sounded a little bored I think it was more to bring a sense of the superiority that the characters felt. The first few reviews that focused on this as a downside really may have understood where he was going with it. Loved to continue into the world of pahem, and see things flesh out into the world Katnis and Peeta are greeted years later.

Part two...what to say?
Revisado: 06-13-17
So we learn more about Aric and his people ...but the story itself still feels rushed. I found the character growth confusing. One minute weak or strong, only to change the next few sentences. Words like love over used and perhaps even put in place of the better term lust. Why? Perhaps under the influence of the implants feeling would develop somewhat faster than human bonds. Still....a sweet light read. I like the idea of this series alien/human not so different but not the same. Will continue to read. Need to find out how the story ends after all .

Could be the start to an interesting series
Revisado: 06-01-17
Will defiantly continue on to find out what is happening next. It starts out a little slow on the build up, then throws a lot of information at you all at once. Considering it is a quick read this is no surprise. Once the story got pass the introduction of the main characters and into the actual story, I did find it enjoyable and easy to listen to.
Hopefully in the next books we learn more about the aliens. For me their abilities and tech are by far the most interesting thing to this series already.
