I think this will be the last book I read in this series. It was boring and flat. I don;t recommend this book

A bit slow but good
Revisado: 03-03-14
This book was a bit slow but I perservered and was rewarded. I liked the characters right away and that kept me going. There were some funny instances and I did not solve the murder before the end of the book. It was worth it. I plan to listen to the next book.

Annoying
Revisado: 02-01-14
This book was extremely annoying. I don't now how anyone in this town can stand Hannah. She knows everything about everyone and buts her nose into everything. I realized the killer early on but forced myself to finish the book. I wish I hadn't. It wasn't worth it. However, the recipes were good.

Simmering goodness
Revisado: 01-28-14
I enjoyed this book a great deal. Chole is a bit ditzy but she has a good heart. The mystery good and fast paced. Josh is adorable and adds a nice switch to the mystery aspect of the story. I would reccommend this to lovers of cozy mysteries.

watered down
Revisado: 01-28-14
The characters aren't that interesting, the pacing is slow and I never got into the plot. The narrator didn't help. She sounded to old for the lead character. I usually love Dina Pearlman. This was just a bad fit for her.

Don't bother
Revisado: 01-11-14
I will speak of the positives first. There are recipes included. The narrator Linda Bloom did a pretty good job giving the characters a voice.
Now the negatives. There is no reason for Suzanne to investigate this murder. She claims he's a friend as well as a customer, but there's no indication of any kind of friendship between them. She knows nothing about this guy. The characters, including Suzanne, are unlikable and uninteresting. Suzanne keeps telling her friends not to get involved because it's dangerous yet she insists on getting involved. She lacks people skills when talking to suspects. The book is slow paced and not very interesting. I read this book out of sheer determination because I paid for it!

Don't bother with this one
Revisado: 12-08-13
If you want a cozy mystery with interesting and realistic characters and a funny and complex mystery plot don't get this book. I could not get past the first five chapters. It was predictable and and the characters were one dimensional. The dialogue was also choppy and corny. The characters appeared to be to perfect. Don't waste your credit.
