Meet Jean ...a fiery, headstrong, redheaded ghost chaser that co-leads PASS, the Paranormal and Supernatural Society, in Shadow Valley, a winter resort town in the Northwest USA. Demon slaying ballerina!
Revisado: 08-23-24
Jean's ghost hunting with her friends turns out to be a much bigger deal they could have imagined. Engaged me as a reader/listener start to finish. I liked Jean and her friends and wanted them to succeed. I love that her fighting style is some kind of morph from her ballet dance training to sword combat. Me crying happened at that one part that I won't spoil. The narrator did well once she found her pacing. Overall, I really enjoyed this story.

Historia
New York, 1960: For Benny Lament, music is his entire life. With his father’s deep ties to the mob, the Bronx piano man has learned that love and family can get you in trouble. So he keeps to himself, writing songs for other musicians, avoiding the spotlight…until the night his father brings him to see Esther Mine sing. Esther is a petite powerhouse with a gorgeous voice. And when Benny writes a hit song and performs it with her, their collaboration thrusts the duo onto the national stage…and stirs up old issues and new scrutiny that the mob--and Benny--would rather avoid.

"Ugly Beautiful"
Revisado: 02-14-24
A beautiful love story in an ugly time. Set in the 1960's this love story is surrounded by racism, organized crime, corruption and fear yet they endure. They do what they can to show us what change looks like. Thank you Amy Harmon for writing this story.
