Historia
Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren; he felt sure of it. They had to leave immediately. So begins a long and perilous journey of survival for a small band of rabbits. As the rabbits skirt danger at every turn, we become acquainted with the band, its humorous characters, and its compelling culture, complete with its own folk history and mythos. Fiver’s vision finally leads them to Watership Down, an upland meadow. But here they face their most difficult challenges of all.

Great Story & Great Performance
Revisado: 07-22-19
This story is amazing. I can't recommend it enough. The reader did an excellent job of giving each character a unique voice in a book that has many many characters.

A classic story told in a warm voice.

Great recital of a classic story. The only thing missing is a dark stormy night and a warm fire. Truly a pleasure to listen to.

Historia
America's Great Plains once possessed one of the grandest wildlife spectacles of the world, equaled only by such places as the Serengeti, the Masai Mara, or the veld of South Africa. Pronghorn antelope, gray wolves, bison, coyotes, wild horses, and grizzly bears: less than 200 years ago these creatures existed in such abundance that John James Audubon was moved to write "it is impossible to describe or even conceive the vast multitudes of these animals".

Good listen for an outdoorsman or historian.

the book was packed with interesting stories and details, but got a little preachy at times. Overall a book I very much enjoyed listening to.

Amazing Story For Any Age
Revisado: 05-27-19
I've read this book many, many times growing up and in the last few years. When I became a teacher it was my first read aloud for my 4th grade class. I just listened to this audiobook with my 7th grade class and they all loved it. My only complaint is that the reading performance was a little uninspired. If I had to do it over I would definitely share this again with both classes.
