Historia
History and legend remember many pirate stories and captains - but until now not the true story about the pirate crew who seized the most valuable treasure hoard ever taken on the high seas! In the year 1721, a British pirate captain named John Taylor, accompanied by a French captain nicknamed The Buzzard, seized the richest single booty ever to come into pirate hands. The Diamond Ship follows the true journey of this band of unruly pirates, in a story which until now has lain buried for three centuries in odd pieces of parchment and random scraps of marine diaries.

A pirate tells his tale and kids would be wise to listen!
Revisado: 09-09-20
A tale of pirates and their adventures on the high seas. High jinks, mischief and humor are interwoven with historical facts and observations of the period. Perfect for boys or girls interested in history and adventure. Exotic and faraway places fire the imagination while real historical and geographical details make the story interesting and informative. The narrator’s accent, voice and style of speech is like a real live pirate spinning the yarn. The storytelling is amusing but easy to follow. Luckily there is plenty of comedic relief to bring levity to the otherwise harsh realities of pirate life. The main character is an intelligent, tuff and resourceful kid who would be easy for most young people to relate to. As a parent and educator I would recommend this audiobook for both boys or girls in the 7-10 age range.
