I dunno, this is a big step down. Most of the scenes felt like they focused on how much one of the chars are support the other. And it feels really forced. It was so much it drew away from everything. Travis is always good, but the mystery of the world can't hold me there anymore

For some reason the "Hero" Lets his nemesis get away, and doesn't follow her to take her out when she's weak because "I don't want anything to do with her anymore". Even knowing her ultimate plans..

It feels off, still feels rushed? I have no idea how the magic works, I don't remember the characters names. What is the queen ladies race? Why can one resurrect at a pyre? Whats with the divine titan? People have magic, aether abilities and combat arts? And implants? What are these things??? Can we get a book 0.5 that just introduce everything before book 3?

Repetition

Repetition, Jason has had a hard time, Jason is God soon(tm).

Take a drink everytime someone strokes Jason's ego or mentions how hard Jason's life has been. You'll die in one chapter..

Cliffhanger ending after listening to a rehash of the old books for hours and hours on end. Love it. Trash book, gonna go out on a limb and say it's worse than the earth arc.

Bland, forgettable

I actually just stopped listening when it was 30 mins left, found myself not caring what happened at all.

The mc is bad, the story is bland the system is weak and feels completely random or too big. I don't remember the mc's name. All bad men hate women, but also wanna murder people.

The mc inner dialog makes him out to be much better than everyone, understanding towards people. And how he has to be careful with his new powers. Except when people have slightly shitty personalities then it's fine to abuse is powers to hurt them a little.

Travis baldree is awesome as always.

Missing something

I can't put my finger on it it, something is missing. Not a very helpful review. But there it is, this is book and the last has had something taken away or changed they are not as engaging. But still worth reading, just hope it doesn't go full defiance of the fall and just keeps going forever without any progression through the ranks. Use time skips or something to progress the character somewhat or else he's gonna be D grade forever

It's good, but..

I liked it, it's just that I am having trouble reconciling the way he acts, if speed is everything, as he keeps saying. Then some of the choices he did, seemed weird to me. Sometimes someone matters, then they don't. He says no to offers that will greatly increase his speed at least surface level. The character feels a little inconsistent,

I kept expecting him to see the errors of his ways due to some reason out of his control. And start forging bonds, helping those around him. Due to some of the choices he made, so there would be some kind of redemption for his character.

Since he never did I don't know why the break in character was added in the story. Still going to get the next book as I devour books regularly for background noise and the narrator did good. The overall story arc wasn't that interesting, not that much humor either so it looks like it's really just about getting to the end fast, and no deeper stuff.

It does have some interesting elements, but I found it very boring. I can't say I was invested in the outcomes of situations. It never felt like things could go wrong. Like reading a book while being wrapped in bubble wrap?
