I have read dozens and dozens of post apocalyptic and prepper books. Almost every book in my extensive Audible library involve EMP, mass solar flair ejection, or a nuclear suitcase bomb attack.
This latest book I have just read was a whole different scenario than all of my other books. Needless to say, it did keep the storyline interesting to listen too.
This book had a lot more emotional aspect of each character as the storyline went from book to book. I am not used to the continued chapters to this degree. But as I kept listening, I actually started to find it pleasant change of all the killing and violent scenarios in most of all my other SHTF book.
Kudos to the narrator.
I am a HUGE fan of Kevin Pierce, but the narrator for this book was most excellent. Both male and female voice overs. I got the entire series 6 books for a mere $7.99. It was a steal. : ) a recommended read.

Entertaining- Not Goodmans best though

Mark Goodwin's writing reflects what a strong believing conservative Christian should be striving to attain. With that being said, the lead character to me seemed to take on a spirit of legalism thruout the chapters. I know it IS a book of fiction, so I will not critique it too much beyond that. It still was fairly entertaining, and did have a quality of getting you to think of our own salvation. Post apocalyptic genre does have violent descriptive writing in it. So keep that in mind when purchasing this book .

John Mack no Marcus Battle, but a hero nevertheles

This story depicts the worse in humans and maybe the best in the case of a cataclysmic event taking place in Southern USA. How even at the brink of total destruction, we can call upon a higher power within, and keep from degrading down into the animal kingdom. Ok kept me entertained for hours and did have prep ideas even for the novice like myself. Narrator was very good at differentiating characters. good job : )

suspenseful, thriller, and faith driven

This is sort of a scarey story. I think these events that take place about the Nukes and strike from North Korea are more prevalent today then ever before.

It was classic STNG. But not as much action.

More on personal story lines. Quite a lot of writing on the court trial against Piccard. More than 1/3 dedicated to this.
Titan is a much better book. Especially if you like a lot of action fighting scenes.
