I struggled with feeling like I do not belong anywhere and feelings of unworthiness. This book helped me define why I became this way and how it happened.

For all the readers who, like me, had to throw away their childhood and grow up to help provide. I feel for you. I see you. You are accepted and worthy and the world is a better place because of you.

Know that your journey to heal the wounds that decision made is long and hard, but it will be worth it.

Respect.

Prior to this book I was misinformed on the nature of the market and I was attempting to find information on what analysis tools I had missed in “understanding” the market.

Mark cleared this issue up by confirming what I had hunch on already, that the markets are based on probabilities and there is no way anyone can truly understand the market, instead our trade plans are to be based on a combination of losing and winning trades where risk management is the key in keeping loses short and profits higher and it’s the aggregate wins and losses that generate constant profits.

The way a trader makes money is through a finding ways to have a hunch on a probabilistic market move based on market behaviour and then take mechanical action by using your stop loss as the cost of your trade to confirm your hunch. The fact the market moves in an opposite direction is a natural occurrence and happens more often then not and it’s the way you manage that loss that is critical to long term success. There is no path to success in trading there is only the path to how one manages themselves and that is what success is.

Great book!

WAY too much religious rhetoric to be useful

Rather than focus on factual and empirical data, the author has tried to relate many of her concepts to the Christian bible. While I do not have anything against spirituality, I do have a problem when a religion, which is entirely based on where you are geographically born is used a way to describe how to understand your biology and neurology.

I don't disagree with her findings that perhaps the mind is responsible for the physical process of neurons connecting to other neurons, I cannot be anything but skeptical as the quotation of religious scripture is embedded almost after every sentence in this book and can only allow me to assume the author has a bias towards her information, which is unfair to her readers.

I cannot continue reading the book as I can't take whatever is written as credible evidence as a result of such bias... That's unfortunate.

Core ideas:
Your self identity is a composite of all your life experiences and retained concepts as well as your brains functional ability. How your 100 billion neurons build patterns and networks to simulate your memories and world views, produce the self..

Your free will is an illusion with decisions conducted by the same brain processes that likely gave you your sense of self. Your brain knows your decision, often well in advance before your conscious awareness does... which leads to evidence, that you are your brain and your awareness of choice, no matter how you describe that choice is another process to smooth the appearance of reality for easier navigation, survival and social acceptance

For anyone having troubles with emotions

For years I struggled with feelings of worthlessness, loneliness and not feeling good enough.

I literally had a breakdown and after picking myself up, I realized I needed to seek more information on what my emotions were in hopes I could better manage or control them.

What this book has allow me to do is have a better perspective of what emotions really are. Emotions are apparently just concepts and I have l learned them like everything else. Loneliness, worthlessness isn't an actual emotion it's instead a concept and I learned that self defeating concept through life experience.

This allowed me to see my problems and gives me the opportunity to correct them. I really thank the author for their amazing work and giving me a tool to help myself out of what I felt was such a real problem that I couldn't escape from. Amazing

Bridges Osho, Buddha, The Matrix & The Red Pill

Where does Real Natural Manhood rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's a pretty good book that offers some guidance and points to areas where the reader needs to spend time with himself to draw his own conclusions and work on his own areas free from any type of advice or programming outside of the self. It bridges a lot of teachings from Osho, Buddha, Eckhart Tolle, The Matrix and The Red Pill.

What did you like best about this story?

There is one piece of advice I think is very important in this book that every man should adhere to:DO what you you want. Ask yourself what you want, then do it immediately. Do not give it time to think, because thinking is what caused the problems in your life anyway. Your mind will only tell you what you should want or ought to want from conditional programming, but the spur of the moment doing what you want, is the real desire free from condition. Do that.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Real Natural Manhood?

I'm putting myself first from now on and living selfishly. After a life of 31 years of bending to others needs, this book helped me realize the importance of the true male selfish nature. We must be selfish because to be selfless is actually self less, and without a centred self people do not respect you, because being self-less means your don't respect yourself and your wants and needs.Put yourself first, always.

Any additional comments?

Women only categorize men in two categories, lovers and providers. As men, we need to understand which role we want and be sure not to blur the lines between both because that confuses women and also prevents you from being a man of intention and action.

What did you love best about The Rational Male?

It helped me realize, why as a man I have suffered so much in my life. It was nothing I was doing, I was following all the advice women gave, all the ideas you see in movies, music, I thought women wanted a man who was caring and affectionate, this book helped me realize.. That all my suffering was due from the identification with feminist ideals. The line:A Man's love is unconditional and loves simply for love, a woman's love on the other hand is opportunistic, there's a condition to receiving it. Cut me like a knife....

What did you like best about this story?

The analogy with the matrix, first made me laugh and then question the validity of this book. But as Rollo continues explaining throughout the book and referencing the similarities, that laughter soon turned into a complex set of a emotions that I cannot describe, you realize.. It's true.. We men have been made victims and no one will believe you because, they're part of the system, and just like the matrix, they will fight to preserve it..

What did you learn from The Rational Male that you would use in your daily life?

Once you know this truth.... You cannot go back. You cannot look at women the same and you realize, just how fucked up it is that your needs as a man, were never important to the world, yet your accomplishments is what everyone will relish in..

Any additional comments?

Thank you for this insight..... Thank you for unplugging me from this matrix..

I was initially skeptical, but the book contains a lot of great insight on how to apply techniques during the process of developing a product or service, from personal mindset to approaching the market and public. Couple this with Eric Ries - Lean Start Up to get a full framework of product development with little resources and maintaining a consistent and thorough process towards success.

Would you listen to Design Thinking in Business and IT: Overview, Techniques and Example Workshop again? Why?

Yes, there's a wealth of good fundamental and practical knowledge here.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

"Ideation is the transition between defining the problem and finding the solution. You need to look at all the options without restrictions. The volume (fluency) and the variety (flexibility) will ensure you don’t leave anything un explored. "

What would have made Will It Fly? How to Test Your Next Business Idea So You Don't Waste Your Time and Money better?

There's too much talk about personal stories or theoretical situations. The whole analogy with launching a business like an airplane is not practical. The book should be about testing and validating ideas, on a practical level.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Definitely not this.

What didn’t you like about Pat Flynn’s performance?

There's no real information here.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Everything covered is common and known knowledge. If you need a reminder of common sense, then this is for you.

Any additional comments?

Wasted my credit :/
