Historia
The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Definitely not a book that’s meant to be an audio book, but it gets the job done.
Revisado: 11-29-24
I think the title says it all. Sort of hard to follow in audio form, but it’s quite possibly one of the most popular books in the world, so what more can you ask for.

First came the development of the Personality Matrix Construct—PMC, transferring human consciousness into a machine. It changed the galaxy and the way wars were fought. Then something went wrong with PMCs and the Federation Wars toppled the galactic order. PMCs became a menace to be hunted and exterminated.

Rocky start, but I got sucked in!
Revisado: 11-29-24
At the beginning of the first book the writing was definitely a little shaky. Over use of descriptive words almost pulled away from the plot and sounded like the narrator just reading a thesaurus at times. After a while though that aspect got a bit more tamed down and the plot could take off. After that hiccup the story line and characters were exceptionally engaging. The world and lore building was done very well. Leaving just enough to the imagination and just enough as mysteries about the universe as whole allowing the reader to rediscover details alongside the characters. That being said if you give the book a try I would highly recommend giving it a few chapters to get off the ground, before deciding to move on.

What if we showed up everyday to be a better version of ourselves? Not losing ground, but gaining more each day. More knowledge, more understanding, more real-world skills. That is my reason for this book and my reason behind the MzeroA Online Ground School. My goal throughout this book is to keep you inspired throughout the process of pursuing Aviation Mastery. This book is filled with the science of learning and the science of aviation safety from my experience of now over 10,000 hours as a pilot and flight instructor.

Very insightful
Revisado: 11-29-24
There was anything that I’d call revolutionary, but there were many points that stuck out to me as good things to bring up to students as a CFI and perhaps ways to phrase things differently to maybe help a student grasp a concept a little better. As stated many times in the book, no one will ever be a “master” aviator, but as long as you never stop learning and being committed to safety you’re on the right path. So of the case studies in the book were actually ones that I brought up on my CFI checkride that the examiner seemed to be very impressed with my knowledge and assessment of which I do think helped my standing in that particular case, so it was fun to see those case studies come up again. And if you need a tip for your CFI checkride there it is!

Historia
After the killing of a prominent mob lawyer, NYPD homicide detectives Jacob Jackson and Caitlin Grimes start receive chilling, written “rules” for how to commit the perfect murder. "Rule number one for the perfect murder: Evidence is your enemy. Leave none behind." Jackson (Reid Scott) and Grimes (Cobie Smulders) race to find the killer, setting them on a collision course with the city’s crime underbelly, and a perpetrator who seems happy to toy with them. “Rule number two. No crimes of passion. The perfect murder is always business, never pleasure.”

Engaging, but seemingly pointless.
Revisado: 11-29-24
The plot and actual writing was entertaining and painted a picture, but with the ending it made it all seem kinda like a waste of time like it had all been completely irrelevant. For a 3 hour story, it was fine and I’d recommend it if you’re interested in the mystery genre or even as a jumping off point for mystery as a whole. Just don’t expect anything life changing or that might have some sort of lasting effect.

Great story, iffy acting.
Revisado: 10-04-24
Review title says it all, the story line was good, if a little predictable at times. The female part was good enough, but the man’s part was monotone and dull which made things feel a bit slow at times.

Revisado: 07-25-24
Completely enthralled! It was a little slow to start if I’m being honest, but I feel that may have been on purpose. To illustrate that life was simpler before everything was taken. Once it really gets going it’s impossible to put down. Everything you do you’ll be thinking about when you can pick it back up or what may happen next. Highly recommend for anyone, despite the genre. Only complaint is that there isn’t a “collection” option to purchase all the books at once.

There are scenes of domestic violence in this book that are hard to deal with, especially given that I’m probably one of the few straight men that have listened to this book. Other than that and the sex scenes that are weird to listen to, the story and writing is phenomenal.
