Historia
In the eerie wasteland of Dartmoor, Sherlock Holmes summons his devoted wife and partner, Mary Russell, from her studies at Oxford to aid the investigation of a death and some disturbing phenomena of a decidedly supernatural origin. Through the mists of the moor there have been sightings of a spectral coach made of bones carrying a woman long-ago accused of murdering her husband - and of a hound with a single glowing eye.

Historia
London, 1853: Young Charles Lenox is called upon by the duke of Dorset, one of England’s most revered noblemen, for help. A painting of the duke’s great-grandfather has been stolen from his private study. But the duke’s concern is not for his ancestor’s portrait; hiding in plain sight nearby is another painting of infinitely greater value, one that holds the key to one of the country’s most famous and best-kept secrets. Dorset believes the thieves took the wrong painting and may return when they realize their error.

Historia
A pool boy enters a secluded Bel Air property and discovers two bodies floating in the bright blue water: Gio Aggiunta, the playboy heir to an Italian shoe empire, and a gorgeous, even wealthier neighbor named Meagin March. A married neighbor. An illicit affair stoking rage is a perfect motive. But a “double” in this neighborhood of gated estates isn’t something you see every day. The house is untouched. No forced entry, no forensic evidence. The case has “that feeling,” and when that happens, Milo turns to his friend, the brilliant psychologist Alex Delaware.

Hero is very much a part of this latest installment of the series. But Devlin’s challenges in this book are not as complex or as intriguing as previous books. But for a light fun read this series is always good.

Love the IQ books and the narrator is fabulous.
Revisado: 11-15-17
I am in love with Ide’s IQ books. And I am so glad to listen to them. The reader makes each character come alive with their own personality. These mysteries do fit a certain niche: the listener must be comfortable with LA gang talk, LA characters, and the humor and life of the African-American, Latino and Asian populations who live on the edge of Southern California culture. IQ is a complex and likable protagonist as are his friends. And Ruffin the dog is a love. More! More!
