First let's say that Christie Golden did a great job on writing this novel. Not only that but she referenced alot of the previously established books namely Heavens Devils and Liberty Crusade into this work. That all being said this audio book is held back from being better because of Christie Golden.

This was not a great performance is what I've been telling myself since the book first started. From Christie reading a pause and then pausing to not being able to distinguish the characters apart from eachother much is left desired in the performance. The biggest thing is the tone that Christie Brings to the characters in the book. The tone and depth is just off and lacking. Especially coming off of listening to the Audio books from both Heaven's Devils and Liberty 's Crusade just prior to this.

As always these books never cease to impress. Trent Sparks is up there with the Likes of Johnathan Keeble as one of the Best Narrators from Audible. The Production is so well down that even Radio Chatter sounds like it's from a radio.

I definitely hope that Catalyst Games continues the Production of the Grey Death Legion Series of Books.

if you like diversity shoved into your Warhammer this is the book for you.

The entire book is more about who can become a Knight of Bretonnia than anything else. If you're a woman you can complain about being oppressed with out a single character having an issue with you being a Knight, the hearing impared and even crippled can be knights as well.

But don't worry it reaches every demographic as well. It even has a Knight that may or may not have ended up being Gay if he hadn't have been killed by his own horse.

Don't worry if you don't like anything about the Warhammer world we're also here for you. Magic now brings the undead back to being living.

I hope you didn't like the Grim Dark of Warhammer in the past because in Bretonnia now Peasants can worship the Lady. They aren't treated poorly by the nibility and its all sunshine and rainbows for them.

I mean this book covers 19 chapters of Traveling from one spot to the next. Talking about how you to can be a Knight if you work hard enough. The great Evil that threated
treatens the land ends up not being as dangerous as it was at the beginning of the book either.

In all you can like it or not but this book is more about playcating to the disenfranchised who couldn't be Knights of Bretonnia previously than anything else.

The story is great. That being said the narrator is definitely not the best, especially when compared to other Halo titles.
