Nash and Parker are 🔥🔥🔥
Revisado: 11-03-22
“The day my brother got married was the worst day of my life.” - Nash
This story was performed by, Joe Arden (Nash) and Lucy Rivers (Parker), and together they delivered a 🔥 performance that had me listening well into the night! 🫠
This is a second-chance romance with suspense, plot twists, angst, and steamy moments between two people who battle to defy fate.
Nash first meets Parker on her wedding day when she is about to marry his brother, the man she believes is her forever love. There is an instant attraction and a chaste exchange between Parker and Nash that neither can forget......
After a few years of marriage, Parker learns that her husband isn’t the man she thought he was and turns to Nash for help to return home to her family's safety at Sawyers Bend.
Will Parker find her one true love? Will Nash win the battle to do the right thing?
Well, I won't kiss and tell!! 😉
I confess I was a newbie to Ivy Layne’s work, but not anymore! Book 4 of the Hearts of Sawyers Bend series, Rebel Heart, has me hooked and burning up the pages of the other books in this fantastic series!
Having not read the earlier books in the series didn't hinder my reading/listening pleasure; however, I've read other reviewers recommend starting at book 1 to fully immerse yourself with all of the characters that feature in the series.
Caution: This series is an addiction of the heart so get ready to “just one more chapter” your way into the night!

The sequel we needed!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Revisado: 10-28-22
“Battle Born for You” is book 2 in the “Tell All Secrets” series by the talented Layla Lochran. It is the highly anticipated sequel to “Painting Her Fate,” which I posted a review on recently.
Note: You do need to read (or listen) to book 1 in order to properly absorb and understand this story since this is a connecting series.
“Battle Born For You” picks up where book 1 ended; however, there is a deep look back into Zander’s (Alexander) past and the tragic events that unfolded while serving in the military, which offers a pretty solid explanation as to why he struggles with opening himself up to love.
The cleverly written dialogue between Zander and the “voice” in his head mirrors the internal dialogue we were introduced to in book 1 with Lili, which helps the reader to understand the turmoil of the leading characters and relate intimately to their struggles.
Layla Lochran has created a fantastic universe with characters that have depth and are truly relatable to anyone who has ever struggled with the aftermath of tragic events. The way the author tackles loss, fear and vulnerability is truly remarkable!
I read, and listened to the audiobook versions of both books in this series. I highly recommend the audiobook performed by the amazing Stella Hunter and Joe Arden, who bring Lili and Zander to life with such grace and emotion you’ll not be able to put the book down. Do yourself a favor and add this series to your library - it’s a keeper!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ perfect!

To make the world a better place. This artist is ready for new adventures, only just as things are set in play, they spiral out of control, and the one person who means the most may not survive. A hauntingly beautiful story of survival and love!
Revisado: 10-15-22
Author Layla Lochran has woven a romance GOLD tapestry with her new “Tell All Secrets” series!
Book 1, Painting Her Fate, is a beautiful, haunting, and heart-wrenching romance about Lili (Liliana), a Scottish lass and artist living in London, and war veteran turned bar owner Zander (Alexander).
When Lili and Zander’s worlds collide, their attraction and connection are immediate, and their desire for each other burns so deep that it will leave you positively breathless.
Will Lili and Zander win the fight to keep the tragedy of their past hidden, control the nightmares threatening to consume them, and find a way to each other?
Well, that’s a “Tell All Secret” I won't share!
As a military spouse, this book hit extremely deep for me. The story was all-encompassing, so I could not put it down and listened to the audiobook twice. (Ok, it was three times because it's THAT good!)
If you're an audiobook romance fan, you'll immediately recognize Joe Arden (Zander) and Stella Hunter (Lili) - talk about narration royalty! Together they deliver a magnificent performance, navigating the emotional gravity of the content with grace and sincerity.
This book will deliver all the feels and take you on an emotional journey of truth, love, and honor. It does end on a cliffhanger, but it's not too tough (honestly), and book 2 in the series “Battle Born For You” will be released on Oct 24th. Not long to wait!
A special thank you to Layla Lochran for tackling the sometimes terrifying realities of life and love while weaving in hope for her readers. You're appreciated.

We are all perfectly imperfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Revisado: 10-10-22
Saving Meadow is a romantic thriller that perfectly showcases Riley Edwards' signature writing style that effortlessly incorporates motivation, aesthetics, and dramatic action in one story.
If you’re a Riley E fan, you’ll immediately recognize her relatable characters and while it was super fun to visit with the characters we met during the 707 series, you don’t have to read the prior series (but you should, no, really!) before diving into this one.
Our leading characters, Nick and Meadow, have observed each other from afar for several years at their local coffee shop (swoon #1). Neither realizes that the other has noticed the other (swoon #2), and a series of tragic events bring them together in a tangled web of passion and purpose that will leave you melting (yep, swoon #3). Ok, I’ll stop counting swoons!!!
Meadow is a victim of a vicious attack where, as the fates would have it, she is left broken and afraid but very much alive and fighting for her own peace.
Enter hawt FBI agent Nick Clark who instantly recognizes Meadow. He desperately needs her to tell her truth to help him solve the case while looking for ways to get closer to Meadow and protect her with a determination no one can stop, including Meadow.
Packed with an abundance of heart-stopping angst, this Next Generation Series kicks off with a bang, leaving you firmly on the edge of your seat, looking for something to hold to steady the ride.
I read and listened to this book to gain all perspectives, and you will not be disappointed, regardless of your chosen book medium. Troy Duran and Devon Grace have 🔥 chemistry fitting of the love and palpable connection that burns between Nick and Meadow and create a stunning audio performance.
I want to go on and on about this gentle yet fiery, gripping yet freeing love story that made for THE perfect listen on a cozy fall weekend, but I won’t spoil it.
Gift yourself and add this one to your listening list, and get lost in this deep and heartfelt continuation of the 707 series. Meadow and Nick are “bone-deep” love and fire!
I had the honor of being an ALC for this book and this is my true and honest review.
Kudos to Riley Edwards for writing a story about what it means to be perfectly imperfect 💜

Captain Ben Monroe has a panty-dropping smile. He's also my best friend's younger brother. And the worst mistake of my life. Or maybe the best. It's hard to tell. He was a blight on my childhood. A thorn in my side. I haven’t seen him in years, and now he needs a place to stay. What I didn’t expect was to find him naked in my kitchen, and he’s all grown up. But sisters before misters, I wasn’t supposed to look, let alone touch.

A steamy, romantic, hilarious listen you won’t want to miss!
Revisado: 09-23-22
I started this audiobook with a healthy dose of skepticism about whether or not, Donna A could pull it off again. Well …. holy scorching kitchen scene, did she!
Narrated by the exquisite Queen of audio, Maxine Mitchell, we meet our leading lady Penny (or Nell) following a break-up that left her in debt and with a reluctant heart to love again. The hilarious and saucy exchanges between Penny and her best friend, Melody, had me laughing out loud from the very first pages.
Let’s talk about the delicious British Special Forces Captain Ben Monroe, performed by new-to-me narrator, Elliot Thomas. His sexy talk had me looking around to see if my flaming cheeks were visible to those around me; so hawt! Spicy moments aside, Elliot Thomas portrayed Ben’s love of service to his country with heart and truth, which I appreciated on a personal level.
I typically love when angst and passion between characters builds more slowly; however, I was grateful that I didn’t have to wait too long to experience the steamy explosion between Penny and Ben because their chemistry was palpable from the get-go.
I really enjoyed this hilarious and sexy listen. With rich characters and a cynical, gas-inhaling cat thrown into the mix, it’s a 5-star easy “click” to listen or read for me!
If you’re not a fan of steamy, best friend’s brother-could-be-enemies-to-lovers-sorta romance with clever and relatable witty dialogue, this is not the book for you. For everyone else, you know what to do, and you’re going to LOVE it!

I've got everything it takes to make it in Tinseltown: confidence, charisma, and a killer chin. Now all I need is a chance. But Los Angeles is full of hot young hunks, and talent might not be enough to separate me from the cookie-cutter crowd. So I devise a wild scheme to get noticed. Pretend I’m someone I'm not—good-bye Will O’Connell of Cincinnati and hello Liam O’Connell of Dublin. "Liam" and his talent with accents is enough to get my foot in the door, but I never anticipated meeting the woman who has me more worried about keeping my foot out of my mouth.

Toe-curling classic romance you won’t be able to put down!
Revisado: 09-16-22
The Chameleon Effect is the solo author debut by audiobook royalty Joe Arden. Told from the male point of view, we meet Will, a struggling actor who’s determination to realize his professional dream is starting to waiver under the harsh realities of the Hollywood grind. With more European actors seemingly winning open roles, Will is encouraged by his family to use his gift of character acting - specifically his talent for accents - to his advantage; thus, a well-intended and lovingly-misguided ruse ensues!
Just as Will, now operating under the pseudonym Liam, begins to experience some semblance of success in a new role, he meets the talented set costume designer and stunning beauty, Raven.
An intense and steamy romance rapidly grows between the two, which plunges, Will deeper into the lie and Raven deeper into Will’s heart.
This book had all the makings of a true classic romance for me, which made a refreshing change from other books I’ve read this year that played further on the erotica end of the romance genre spectrum.
The storyline was distinct, and the characters were vivid and relatable, which left me wanting to slow things down to spend more time with the characters and unpack them a little more because I felt the literary elements were all present and aligned to accommodate a series (I’ll remain hopeful!).
The audiobook was, unsurprisingly, solo narrated by Joe Arden himself, with cameo appearances from the sensational Maxine Mitchell, as Raven, adding texture to Raven’s character and providing a tease into her world in lieu of her pov throughout the story. Joe Arden reached a new emotional depth with this performance that felt more personal and intimate and provided a special bonus for fans of his already extensive collection of audiobook work.
In truth, I expected Joe Arden’s storytelling to be visual to the point of tangibility; however, I didn’t expect to imagine how this story would so effortlessly translate to the big screen, offering a further testament to Arden’s mastery in bringing the written word to life.
I loved and enjoyed every minute of the time I spent experiencing the sometimes sweet, often funny, perfectly spicy, and consistently heartfelt intensity of Will and Raven’s love story, and almost more because it is told from Will’s perspective.
With his solo author debut, Joe Arden has shown that he is much more than the skillful voice behind the mic, and while Will’s story takes place in a misguided ruse, Joe Arden’s talent is incredibly real.
For the true romantics at heart, this is a delicious curl-up-with-a-glass-of-wine story you’ll not want to put down!

There are three things I hate: Bratwurst in any form, my neighbors boinking like farm animals at 3 AM, and Chase Jett. Mostly I hate Chase Jett. It's been 10 years since he took my virginity - I'd make a bratwurst joke, but the unfortunate truth is that it would have to be a brat-best joke, and yes, it kills me to admit that - and now he's not only a billionaire, he's also my new boss.

It’s been said that Pippa Grant is the Queen of the rom-com and I am inclined to believe that. Listened to this book on a road trip and laughed out loud scaring my passengers a few times! I've hated Rachel Dawson since I was seven years old. My next-door neighbor and number-one sworn enemy - she's the reason why almost all of our childhood fights ended with me setting something of hers on fire. (Or, vice versa.) She snitched on me when I broke curfew. I snitched on her when she lied about having a boyfriend. We went back and forth like this throughout high school, both vowing to never talk to each other again when we went off to college. But that was until she showed up at my apartment during my senior year and asked me for a temporary place to stay.

That this book is a solid book hangover remedy oh, and this stuff:
First of all, this isn’t a story for the faint of heart! If you enjoy soft romance books then this isn’t for you but … probably should be!
Don’t listen to this book:
- Anywhere that your headphones might fail and cause an awkward play-through-speaker experience
- During a family gathering or anywhere you can’t sneak off for some alone time (you’ll need it)
- If you don’t have time to binge listen because trust me, you’ll want to!
I learned a bunch of other things but these are my immediate recs for you.
