Historia
Working as a quality-assurance grunt in the gaming industry sounds like fun, right? You get to play the coolest new games before anyone else. And all you have to do is to find, reproduce, and report bugs before the last pixel is locked in and the games are launched to an eager public. Sure, there’s the unpaid overtime, the office politics, and the ever-present threat of layoffs. But you get to game!

The computer voice takes a minute to adjust to, but the actors all play/voice their part well! Fun.

Historia
Five years ago Corin Cadence's brother entered the Serpent Spire - a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

Historia
Greg Donahue’s The Minuteman, tells the story of one of Newark’s native sons; ex-prizefighter and longtime Zwillman enforcer Sidney Abramowitz, a.k.a. Nat Arno, who took over leadership of the Minutemen in 1934 and made it his personal business to put an end to what he saw as the Bund’s “anti-American” activities. For six years, Arno and his crew of vigilantes battled Newark’s Nazis at every turn. The Minuteman is a story of the ethics of violence in the face of fascism; a forgotten legacy that is as relevant now as it was nearly a hundred years ago.

A unique history point

Torn between being glad they stood up against Nazi facisism and wincing at the violent means in which they did it. Sad that in America it was necessary. Worth a listen.

In the beginning I wasn't sure, but it wasn't long before I was hooked. Part adventure, part history, and part current affairs. This was an enjoyable listen and very eye opening about so many different things.
please give it a chapter..

Historia
Drew Michalik was working in a top-secret facility in Washington, DC, when the Advent began. As all electronics in the world simply ceased to work, blue screens filled with information appeared before him. Drew was given access to a mana interface and a limited number of reality-altering crystals called Xatherite. Following the instructions on his vision-impairing screens, he "slotted" his Xatherite and changed his fate: He gained the ability to cast spells. Now alone in the dark, he must battle through the government bunker turned dungeon in a desperate bid for survival.

I enjoyed it, but not for everyone.
Revisado: 07-31-19
I have never done the gaming books before, so this was very different from my usual read. I will say that one book is probably enough. I don't think I would read/listen further in the series, but I did really enjoy this book.
The plot and characters development is good. I enjoyed all the characters I met. I also liked how the book helps some like me (non gamer) understand how the power ups and everything works: very helpful. I was fully immersed till the end. The ending kind of gives you more than you need. So it is easy how to see the following books would go. Which is why one and done.
There are pieces of the book that the narrator is just listing the new stats of the player/character which can be boring, but are important for understanding what the charter can do and how his "powers grow". You just need to realize it is part of the book. There is nothing that can be done to make it more interesting(the lists I mean). In a written book it would be just a section of the page listed with upgrades, but in audio it is a bit of drag listening to the listed power ups.
Overall if you want to try something different I say give it a go. :)

Historia
When Greta Helsing, doctor to the undead, is unexpectedly called to Paris to present at a medical conference, she expects nothing more exciting than professional discourse on zombie reconstructive surgery and skin disease in bogeymen - and hopefully at least one uneventful night at the Opera. Unfortunately for Greta, Paris happens to be infested with a coven of vampires - and not the civilized kind. If she hopes to survive, Greta must navigate the darkest corners of the City of Lights, the maze of ancient catacombs and mine-tunnels underneath the streets.

I work in the medical field and the I enjoy following Dr. Helsings character. It is believable and fun. I love the mixture of fantasy and magic mixed with logic. The characters are enjoyable and overall just pleasant listen to, You don't have to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one, but It will give you some background and insight to the characters.

Revisado: 07-31-19
I enjoyed this book. The characters are likable, there is a bit of fun, laughter and a little romance. The narrator does a good job. I recommend the book for anyone who is looking for a short, but enjoyable story. P.S. It was my first introduction to Molly Harper and now I am ready to try more of her stories.
