Historia
In The Righteous Mind, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt explores the origins of our divisions and points the way forward to mutual understanding. His starting point is moral intuition - the nearly instantaneous perceptions we all have about other people and the things they do. These intuitions feel like self-evident truths, making us righteously certain that those who see things differently are wrong. Haidt shows us how these intuitions differ across cultures, including the cultures of the political left and right.

Corrective, yet dangerous
Revisado: 02-20-23
The Author does present relevant data, yet his foundation built on Leftist Liberalism, Evolutionary thinking a naïveté, lead him into Utilitarian Ethics, and Confirmation Bias. The most blatant mistake is his assessment of the Care Foundation, where he misinterprets Care itself. Another example is his final political examples where his first 2 examples (supposedly liberal) would be adopted by most conservatives. One could go on and on, but suffice it to say that one must keep a critical mind when reading this trope, or they won’t see the dangerous ultimate ends that this type of thinking leads to.

Famed historian, university professor, and author of the groundbreaking "The Case for Colonialism" Bruce Gilley demonstrates that, contrary to modern presuppositions, German colonialism from its early roots to the mid-twentieth century served overall as a global force for good in the world, elevating the lives of its subjects and encouraging scientific development while allowing native cultures to flourish within its governance.

Must Read!
Revisado: 02-04-23
Excellent correction for the Marxist/Communist overtaking of Academia. Fact based research versus Emotionalism! This book, among other things, serves to fight back against the monolithic tyranny of present day wokeism!

Historia
From the perilous ocean crossing to the shared bounty of the first Thanksgiving, the Pilgrim settlement of New England has become enshrined as our most sacred national myth. Yet, as best-selling author Nathaniel Philbrick reveals in his spellbinding new book, the true story of the Pilgrims is much more than the well-known tale of piety and sacrifice; it is a 55-year epic that is at once tragic, heroic, exhilarating, and profound.

A must read concerning early American History. Mildly biased towards trendy modern historical themes. The Mayflower.

Historia
Discrimination and Disparities challenges believers in such one-factor explanations of economic outcome differences as discrimination, exploitation, or genetics. It is listenable enough for people with no prior knowledge of economics. Yet the empirical evidence with which it backs up its analysis spans the globe and challenges beliefs across the ideological spectrum.

The real story
Revisado: 11-24-22
A much needed treatise, in a tumultuous world. A book that depends on facts, as opposed to emotions.
