Revisado: 06-11-20
Once again Mr. Sowell explains with reason and fact what so many of us struggle to understand. Thanks again to this brilliant and reasoned man.

Save your rant for the editorial page
Revisado: 06-12-19
I understand that there are issues with the bail system in this country, but please don't disguise your editorial opinion as a 4 and a half hour novel. Not much story and a whole lot of bluster about the failings of the system. Maybe all the truly great lawyers and reformers are busy writing books?

Historia
Pete Banning was Clanton's favorite son, a returning war hero, the patriarch of a prominent family, a farmer, a father, a neighbor, and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.

How your review until the end
Revisado: 05-29-19
I actually started rating this book while I still had two or three chapters to go. I thought Grisham had mailed in the story line, and felt let down because "I knew what had happened". I had to go back and edit my ratings. Good book, and great performance as always by Michael Beck!

From George Washington to Willie Nelson, he describes 21 heroic figures and why they inspire in him such great meaning.

Too Left for me
Revisado: 05-11-18
I hung in there with this book until Nick felt the need to blame America for being the victim of terrorism. I'm sorry but that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Great entertainer, and eloquent author, I just can't get on board with the Hollywood leftist agenda.
