Historia
When mystery author D. B. Ziegler is late delivering her book, Abi Schore steps in to help. Surely she can give her favorite author moral support over the holiday break and get the manuscript to her boss at Tea & Sympathy Publishing in time for the new year. When Abi shows up on Ms. Ziegler’s doorstep bearing holiday treats, she’s met by the author’s handsome grandson Dov, who reveals a startling plot twist. His grandmother isn’t able to finish the book and Dov promised he’d complete it so fans won’t be disappointed—a task that’s harder than he ever imagined.

Predictable romance
Revisado: 01-19-25
It's a nice short romance story, perfect to take a small break and enjoy a dual POV romance.

Historia
I’m a Gemini. Impulsive. Curious. Headstrong. A twin. Heir to a throne I know nothing about. And it turns out, I’m Fae. But of course, there’s a catch - all I have to do to claim my birthright is prove that I’m the most powerful supernatural in the whole of Solaria. And sure, technically that’s true, as I’m the daughter of the Savage King. But the bit they didn’t put in the brochure was that every single Fae in this Kingdom would claim my throne if they could.

Dual POV ❤️
Revisado: 12-03-24
I loved the dual POV and the fact that you get to learn about the fae world together with the main characters. You're not supposed to know anything about this magical world yet, and discovering it within the story instead of having the first chapters dedicated to the world building is something I really enjoyed. Even after the first book there are still things you don't know, which makes me eager to read the next book. The twins have two very different personalities, but even then both are very relatable. I have loved the story so far and can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Amelia Peabody inherited two things from her father: a considerable fortune and an unbendable will. The first allowed her to indulge in her life's passion. Without the second, the mummy's curse would have made corpses of them all.

Archeological fiction as it's supposed to be
Revisado: 11-17-24
This is an amazing book. Set in 1884 it does capture how the life of a woman that wants to do more could have been like. Amelia is a splendid main character. She's so sassy, it's amazing. I was laughing and rooting for her and her way of seeing life. I felt like she would be one of my best friends. And as a former archaeologist I really enjoyed the accuracy of describing the fieldwork. Or at least it felt accurate for me, not being an egyptologist. 10/10 would recommend ❤️

Historia
Alexis has always been able to rely on two things: her best friends, and the magic powers they all share. That unshakeable, complicated love is one of the only things that doesn't change on prom night. When accidental magic goes sideways and a boy winds up dead, Alexis and her friends come together to try to right a terrible wrong.

Unexpected magic
Revisado: 10-28-24
I liked the book. It was one of those books to read when you want to read something that isn't too serious or with too much world building. You get thrown into the story right away and get to know the characters along the way. Which is a different approach from most books I've read recently. Overall I liked it, but not to that extent that I want to read it again or can't stop talking about it.

Realistic archaeology
Revisado: 10-19-24
As an archaeologist I loved this story. It's one of the few books I’ve read so far that accurately describes archeological digging with all the methods and practices. And besides that the story is absolutely amazing. I loved mixture of history and the setting in Scotland with all its myths and mystical stories that are interwoven into their culture/daily life. It is a fictional story, but in a way feels like it could really have taken place in Scotland.

Emotional rollercoaster

I really loved this book. The switching POVs were great and I went through many emotions while listening: laughter, shock, encouragement, disbelief and many more. I was fully immersed in the story and just loved all of it.

First fiction audiobook
Revisado: 10-01-24
Seeing as this was my first ever fiction audiobook, it took some getting used to hearing characters names and not knowing how they were written. But I loved the story. I'm glad I read this as an audiobook, because I'm not sure if I would have finished the book had I been reading it physically. In the beginning it felt like it took a while for the story to really pick up and I think that if I would have had a physical copy, I would not have continued after the first 5 chapters. But listening to the story I did feel curious as to how the story would evolve. And I'm very glad I listened until the end. I loved the book: I cried, I laughed and I felt many emotions during the story. So as my first fiction audiobook this is a definite win.
