I enjoyed the story up until the secret baby trope. Which was stupid and illogical. There was literally NO reason to hide the child. The MMC was supposed to be the villain. Nope, it was the FMC Red is the villain.

I enjoyed the books, but the audio book made me love the story. The narrators did an excellent job conveying the emotions and feelings of the main characters 10 out of 10 for the story, the narration and just the overall performance.

I enjoyed the first book. But, all of the characters personalities shifted and I didn’t care for it. It’s a Slooooooooow burn. Idk the book was missing something.

This was garbage… The FMC was an idiotic door mat. MMC needed therapy. I only finished so that I could warn others of the train wreck. Check goodreads all of the warnings were accurate. The only silver lining are the narrators. They did their best to make something out of nothing. Aure is a narrator but, this is not a multicultural romance(if you could tell even call this romance. This relationship is toxic.

Ummm I guess…

Both leads were selfish and spineless in too many instances. Asa never felt like a leader, Noni was more worried about getting some than the kid. I wanted to like the story but, I couldn’t. The only saving Grace was Troy Duran.

The story was okay, I prefer a stronger Female lead. Kayla wasn’t very confident and the dilemma seemed a bit juvenile for my taste. The voice actors were great. I kept waiting to believe in their romance but, I couldn’t. 🫤

Not a Fan of Sofie

I had high hopes for this book but, I don’t like Sylvie. I thought I’d grow to but, she’s such weak character. I don’t know why the MC fell for her… I hoped she’d grow a spine in adulthood but nope. 😩 There was too much of her perspective and it was a bore. The children were the highlight of the story. I wish we would have gotten more of the MMC perspective/story.

I wanted to love it.

The FMC is partially amazing but, mostly weak in the worst situations. I wish she had a backbone for her family. MMC straddled the fence of unlikeable. The story fell flat, there wasn’t enough romance and the side characters fell short of their potential. Too much office and not enough romance. The narrators were the best part of the story. 2.5/5

Molina is SO self righteous

Molina is so self righteous it’s annoying. Like she has all of these rules for Azar which I understood but, to be upset with that the Dragons are protecting the city just doesn’t resonate with me. Like come on, I’d rather have them on the walls protecting the fort than burning it down. Ugh, I’m annoyed with the ladies Molina especially.

Just Blah

This story is lackluster and just blah. The back and forth is eye rollingly(I know) annoying. I love a string heroine but, this gal not so much. I was also annoyed that she claimed that people see her as white women although she’s obviously biracial 🙄.
