Narration could be better

One of my very favourite Heyer novels with her trademark wit and humour. Alas, the narrator would be better suited to reading chick lit than a regency romance. Do agree with an earlier reviewer that Selena and Rotherham, both come off as rather unsympathetic characters in the narration, unlike in the book. Will be returning this recording.

Narrator not up to the mark

I have returned an embarrassing number of audible books lately. The quality of narration and production is just not what it used to be. This is a delightful novel, as wonderful as Heyer’s other romances but the narrator does not do it justice. Not a patch on the earlier crop of readers - Phylllidia Nash, Georgina Sutton, Richard Armitage. Please Audible, consider bringing the earlier versions back.
This one is going back as well - sadly.
