never before i have related to a book so strongly. yanagihara crafted a beautiful score that permeates and remains long after it is placed on a bookshelf of our hearts. i am thankful. to her, doubleday, audible, and especially oliver who tells the story with such passion and embrace. such fearlessness and sorrow. everything is tangible. nothing is forgotten.
i’ve completed “a little life” twice now. it haunts my thoughts and conversations. i use it as a vehicle to describe my own pain. i have found representation in all the characters and their lives. they have united to create the story of my own life.
a little life, a powerful life.
a life which remains here.
a life empowered to be complete its own.

DiAngelo uses BIPOC authors, social justice warriors, and theorists to strengthen her own arguments. She also namelessly uses BIPOC individuals experiences for her own financial gain in selling this book and audiobook.
“So You Want To Talk About Race” and “Between the World and Me” are much more insightful and meaningful. Please look elsewhere as these topics are important toward combating racism, but let BIPOC tell their own story!
