Historia
Empaths are beautiful human beings who have heightened senses. They are highly sensitive and attuned to other people's emotions. Empaths also have the ability to read other people's minds, which makes them excellent at spotting lies. They are also kind, and they typically put other people's needs before their own. Being an empath is a wonderful thing because it allows you to truly connect with the people around you. Your sensitivities also allow you to build deeper relationships.

Don't interpret the title wrong as I did

This book goes into fast meditation practices, tells you about essential oils, healing stones and the basics of I guess therapeutic claims. However, I disappointed myself using my credit on this one because I thought more in depth information would be provided in regard to what an empath is and maybe things such as how to change your way of thinking(more than affirmations) in order to increase energy. The book could have been a paragraph long: "You are a person who puts yourself in other people's shoes alot and so you feel the energy they harbor because you're so good at it. Meditation is healthy for the body and can help you to narrow your focus so that you aren't so overwhelmed. It is only through practice that you will realize the depth of how this truly helps empaths." I guess I was looking for more history on the theory of what empaths are, how it came about, and why they can walk in a place or randomly throughout the day feel intense emotions like fear, stress, sadness ect. How is this so on deeper level if you aren't even directing your attention towards anyone? I don't know exactly what I'm looking for just know I didn't get it from this book. I will however work on meditation to exercise my ability to come to a calmer internal state at a faster rate.

Lydia is dead. But they don't know this yet.… So begins the story in this exquisite debut novel about a Chinese American family living in a small town in 1970s Ohio. Lydia is the favorite child of Marilyn and James Lee; their middle daughter, a girl who inherited her mother's bright blue eyes and her father's jet-black hair. Good Moral to the story

Good read. I felt the narrator was a bit slow but the book itself was pretty good. The importance of communication amongst family is shown here.
