In Gerrardsville, Colorado, a woman dies under the wheels of a moving bus. The death is ruled a suicide. But Jack Reacher saw what really happened: A man in a gray hoodie and jeans, moving stealthily, pushed the victim to her demise—before swiftly grabbing the dead woman’s purse and strolling away.

Bravo, great story, a little jumpy sometimes but overall great. I really liked the narrator he was able to separate the characters sufficiently that he didn't have to continually say "he said." As in all Jack Reached books, I will have to read it again so I can pick up all the little nuances that Lee Child so cleverly hides in his book and hope that Andrew will continue that tradition.

WOW just WOW
Revisado: 10-24-22
I am not really a fan of female narrators but January LaVoy does an excellent job, she is one of the best in my book.
The Hammer of Eden is superbly written and at first you really can sympathize with the main character Priest and your routing for him to save his valley when reality hits and you start wondering if man could really start an earthquake. As you race against time with Agent Judy your holding your breath hoping that she will conquer all. there are many little turns and twist which makes this one of the best books Ken Follet has written.

Very disappointing
Revisado: 09-23-22
I enjoyed the story for the most part. I'm not sure what to make of the ending, kind of left me hanging and the Pillar brother, I used to like them. The narrator was terrible and made Atlee Pine out to be an egotistical, condescending b#@ch.

Historia
The 1950s are on the horizon, and Archer is in dire need of a fresh start after a nearly fatal detour in Poca City. So Archer hops on a bus and begins the long journey out west to California, where rumor has it there is money to be made if you’re hard-working, lucky, criminal - or all three. Along the way, Archer stops in Reno, where a stroke of fortune delivers him a wad of cash and an eye-popping blood-red 1939 Delahaye convertible - plus a companion for the final leg of the journey, an aspiring actress named Liberty Callahan who is planning to try her luck in Hollywood.

Too nasally
Revisado: 08-07-22
I really enjoyed this book
and would have given office stars but for the nasal voice of Archer and the WInney voice of Liberty. is that really how they spoke? it would be much more enjoyable if the had spoken in a normal voice like rest of the characters.

Too much yelling
Revisado: 07-18-22
I thoroughly enjoyed the book with one exception , the narrators yelling. Why he felt it necessary to yell I don't know. I had to turn it off so I could get a rest from his voice.

Revisado: 06-15-22
This narrator has to go,even kindergartens would get board with his performance. I will need. to go through the rest of her books for a different narrator. surely with all the money that's spent on her books and downloading audios you can afford someone half decent.

Story good, narrator awful
Revisado: 06-14-22
I honestly didn't think I would get to the end of the book. I've read just about all of th JP Beaumont series and just started listening to them . the narrator is dreadful, I had to grit my teeth more than a few times. I will read the next in the series and hopefully someone gave him some feedback.

Profanity and vulgarity rules the day.
Revisado: 05-25-22
I believe I have read most of Michael Connolly books and, perhaps it is me bug the books have gotten progressively worse as far as profanity is concerned. maybe when I read the books, I just skipped over the vulgar words but listening to the audio books they have come up and sucker punched me from behind, perhaps it is a sign of the times, well I don't lime it, clean it up Michael.

Dreadful
Revisado: 04-30-22
the only reason I finished this book was that i wanted to see how bad it could get. the narrator droned on and on, sounded more like Dragnet. many books I have read took place in the 40s, 50s and 60s but most of them didn't have Al Capone reincarnated.
sorry cannot recommend this book. I like the previous Archer books but this one needs a knew narrator and when you get one let me know, I'll try reading it again.
