Of my 131 titles in my Audible account, this has been one of my favorite listens. It proves to me more with every minute that Dave Grohl is the human we should all strive to be. Cool, down-to-earth, funny, loving, caring, and just an overall amazing human.
I don't get why you are still reading reviews. This should be playing on your device by now.

It starts slow. But gets so much better.

The first half of the first book is nothing but world building and character development. After that she kicks into high gear and the action takes off and doesn't stopped till the end. Great series.

it should have popped up in books I will love. Great story and a great pace. Can't wait for book 2 and beyond. Narrator was great. Overall if you like Sci Fi and military stories it's a perfect mix. With a good dose of mysterious goings on to keep you thinking and listening. I personally would give it a 10 out of 5 in every category.

Where does Columbus Day rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Right at the time. From the great story to the unlikely love story of a man and a beer can. Truely one of the best I have listened too. I couldn't stop listening.
What did you like best about this story?
The amazingly spot on use of military slang and jokes. It is refreshing to see someone do great research and get things correct. Gotta love that ahole named Skippy too.
What does R.C. Bray bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His ability to bring the story to life.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wish I could have. My wife would get mad at me for ignoring her and listening to Col. Joe and Skippy take on the Lizards.
Any additional comments?
If you like military humor or just good old butt kickin with a stiff shot of humor you will love this series. I don't know what to say other than I check audible every day hoping for another addition to this series.

About the middle of the road.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I am not sure. Maybe cut down on the number of main characters.
What about John Banks’s performance did you like?

Nope.

This is an odd book. Not bad just odd. It's kind of hard to keep track of at times. Didn't much care for the ending, thought that it was really kind of bland and campy. It's still a good read and or listen. The Narrator does an excellent job at bringing the story to life.

What did you love best about Omega Rising?
What can I say. Jason is like Kirk and Han Solo had a love child. Sprinkle in some Dylan Hunt and John Crichton and top it off with some Brown Coat Malcolm Reynolds. Good pace with plenty of action and just enough down time to get to know the characters. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Omega Rising?
When they take out the snake in the grass the synth known as Dietz.
Have you listened to any of Paul Heitsch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to Paul before. I can say I feel he was the perfect choice for these books.
