This is only a 13 minute book
Revisado: 02-18-23
Only a 13 minute book, it reads similar to a bedtime story. It is so short. I was unaware of it’s length. It was purchased for one full credit.

Historia
The funny and talented Chip Gaines is well known to millions of people as a TV star, renovation expert, bestselling author, husband to Joanna, and father of four in Waco, Texas. But long before the world took notice, Chip was a serial entrepreneur who was always ready for the next challenge. Whether it was buying a neighborhood laundromat or talking a bank into a loan for some equipment to start a lawn-mowing service, Chip always knew that the most important thing was to take that first step.

Interesting
Revisado: 03-30-18
What made the experience of listening to Capital Gaines the most enjoyable?
Truth-filled...crazy life...amazing outcomes.
What other book might you compare Capital Gaines to and why?
None come to mind.
Which scene was your favorite?
No one favorite...though the area that shared his life-changing trip before he and Jo married was crazy and so glad it provided Chip with a "think-about-it" moment to carry for the rest of his life.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Several. Just the thought of going for what you are striving for... Chip has a bit of fearlessness that is startling to me. Good thing he is a child of God...because he needs God to hold them all sometimes in the midst of spontaneous decisions. ;-)
Any additional comments?
Enjoyed! So glad they have each other to balance and build their family and business adventures. Wishing them both the very very best!!!!!!!

Imagine hearing your physician tell you that chips and queso contain more nutritional benefits than kale and quinoa. Or opening an envelope that looks like just another bill, and unfolding instead an official document declaring you the sole beneficiary of an anonymous billionaire's estate. In her new book, The Sacrament of Happy, Lisa Harper unveils a similarly extravagant, unexpected surprise, declaring that happiness - just plain feeling happy - is a gift from God that you can unashamedly enjoy.

Historia
In 1915, Sherlock Holmes is retired and quietly engaged in the study of honeybees in Sussex when a young woman literally stumbles onto him on the Sussex Downs. Fifteen years old, gawky, egotistical, and recently orphaned, the young Mary Russell displays an intellect to impress even Sherlock Holmes. Under his reluctant tutelage, this very modern, twentieth-century woman proves a deft protégée and a fitting partner for the Victorian detective.
