Historia
The Man on the Mountaintop tells the story of Holy Man Joe, an ageing and unassuming man who lives in a hermitage on top of a mountain. During the summer months, thousands of hopefuls line the path leading to his door, seeking his wisdom. From bombastic, wealthy nobles intent on cheating their way to the top to drunkards who gradually build the physical and mental strength they need to quit their addiction, The Man on the Mountaintop is a rousing tale full of humour, wit and life lessons.

The Man on the Moutaintop
Revisado: 01-26-19
I picked this title as a lark, boy did I make a mistake. A mistake in a very good way. At first, I was entertained. Then I found myself waiting for Joe to answer questions of the people that shared my own concerns. When I had finished, I felt a deep sense of calm and I gained so much wisdom from Joe and his actions and answers. This is a book that I will read time and time again when I feel myself “slipping” in this world. It is a book that will change your way of thinking and doing. For some it could be in one small way, in others the changes could be profound. I dare you to read this book and tell me that you are not changed in your way of thinking or your actions even in the smallest of ways.

Have you ever thought about living in Alaska?
Revisado: 10-23-18
Yes, this book was filled with a tale of abuse, but it was a true tale of human endurance and strength. I went to Alaska with the main character, endured the hardships of the people living there. I felt the pain of not only the harsh living conditions, but also the pain that she and her mother endured at the hands of her father. And I like the main character fell in love with Alaska and all of the beauty in that very harsh environment. I found myself laughing and weeping while listening to this book and it will stay with me long after the last words were read. This book is not for the feint of heart but if you can get through the hard moments, I promise you that this is one of the best stories that I’ve ever purchased from audible and that is saying quite a bit since I own over 500 books from audible.

Agatha is pregnant and works part time stocking shelves at a grocery store in a ritzy London suburb, counting down the days until her baby is due. As the hours of her shifts creep by in increasing discomfort, the one thing she looks forward to at work is catching a glimpse of Meghan, the effortlessly chic customer whose elegant lifestyle dazzles her. Meghan has it all: two perfect children, a handsome husband, a happy marriage, and a stylish group of friends, and she writes perfectly droll confessional posts on her popular parenting blog.

Great story!
Revisado: 09-06-17
We all live with flaws, some big and some small. In this book we are introduced to the main character. Usually, we would be appalled by the actions of Agatha. But through this brilliant story writing we learn to feel through her. We except her flaws, we feel her pain and in the end we morn with her

The greed of people who have to answer to ones rules, the weak, who submit to others wills. The innocent dreamers ....
Revisado: 09-10-16
I waited patiently through the first half of the book as the brave but scared actors played and lost, their lives, by the immoral and corrupt ruined their lives, waiting to see who of them would have the backbone to stand up and say enough is enough. And through great satisfaction, I watched them strengthen their resolve to right the many wrongs which had been done to them. Lots of twists and turns in the book .

I liked the premiss of the book, certainly between the young teenagers who bonded together over a book.
Theirg young lives were wripped apart by some very bad circumstances and nobody trusted anyone. tru. N. N. Gow or why of if they could do anything about it.

Revisado: 02-11-16
I found this story to be very slow and disjointed. I was extremely very disappointed in this book. For only the second time in over three hundred titles, I will be asking for a refund as I did not enjoy this book in the least little bit

Historia
In Bones on Ice, forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan gets wrapped up in the ultimate cold case: a death on Mount Everest. It is called the “death zone”: the point on Everest, nearly five miles high, above which a climber cannot be rescued. More than 250 souls have lost their lives there. Most of the bodies remain, abandoned, frozen in place. When an earthquake leads to a miraculous recovery, Dr. Temperance Brennan is hired to identify the frozen mummified human corpse.

Good for a short "read"
Revisado: 09-26-15
While I liked the plot and the characters, I guess I am just used to Reich's books that go into more depth. By the time I felt like I was just getting to know about each character, it was time to wrap up the story and I felt a little cheated.

Historia
Boston Detective Jane Rizzoli is on the case of a big game hunter found dead in his apartment, alone with the body of a beautiful white snow leopard he had recently been commissioned to procure and stuff for a high-profile museum in the area. Medical examiner Maura Isles connects the case to a number of seemingly unrelated deaths where the victims have all been found hanging upside down, the hallmark of a leopard's kill.

Twists and turns

This book grabbed you from the first chapter and carried you along between the two stories and all of the unexpected twists and turns. It kept me guessing throughout the story and riveted on the main character. The ending did not disappoint.

Historia
Sorry. The single word is written on a mirror. In front of it hangs a Minneapolis Internal Affairs cop. Was it suicide? Or a kinky act turned tragic? Either way, it wasn't murder. At least not according to the powers that be. But veteran homicide detective Sam Kovac and his wisecracking, ambitious partner, Nikki Liska, think differently. Together they begin to dig at the too-neat edges of the young cop's death, uncovering one motive - and one suspect - after another.

Although the narration was very good, at times the story line was a little slow. But I've read enough of Tami Hoag's books not to prevent from reading or listening to her next book. She is a thrilling author.
