Historia
A natural storyteller with a bottomless pit of material, Lange grew up in a close-knit, working-class Italian family in Union, New Jersey, as a maniacal Yankees fan who pursued the two things his father said he was cut out for: sports and comedy. Wild, shocking, and drop-dead hilarious, Too Fat to Fish is Artie Lange giving everything he's got to give. And like a true pro, the man never disappoints.

How to Earn a Million Dollars being Self-Destructive
Revisado: 12-18-24
I liked the genuineness.
I disliked the book eliminating the possibility of Artie ever getting off drugs when he (as the reader) soon tells us he’s on heroin again and can’t fulfill his commitment to personally tell us his story in his own voice. So be forewarned, most of this book is read by his friends taking turns.
Artie finally comes back at the very tail end to ask us to buy his latest audiobook. CA-CHING!

Historia
In a career spanning more than 30 years, David Letterman redefined the modern talk show with an ironic comic style that transcended traditional television. While he remains one of the most famous stars in America, he is a remote, even reclusive figure whose career is widely misunderstood. In Letterman, Jason Zinoman, the first comedy critic in the history of the New York Times, mixes groundbreaking reporting with unprecedented access and probing critical analysis to explain the unique entertainer's titanic legacy.

This depressing story describes how a miserable S.O.B. made millions of dollars each year, for decades, spreading his negativity and cynicism throughout our culture.

More autobiographical than flat out funny.
Revisado: 06-06-15
If you like Adam Carolla "the person," as well as Adam Carolla "the performer," you"ll really enjoy this interview. It very entertainingly answers the question, "What makes Adam tick?" Well worth the modest price.
