Lack of story.

Wow and I thought I had been let down after the Grimm brothers. Absolutely nothing happened in this book. And then the ending was completely worthless and to leave on a cliff hanger. I am disappointed with myself that I waited for the book to come out. This is the first book of his that I want to return. 10 hours of absolutely nothing.

He has the ability to modify any item he owns; to upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. At least, that was until Felix leveraged a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to give himself a great deal of points. Investing in Super Heroes and Super Villains and owning them. Using them, Felix built up an empire: an organization by the name of Legion.

Not enough story

The series was one of my first audible listens and imm I’m loved it. I enjoy the author and Nick always rocks any narration. But I honestly felt bad for him with this. The story hot so caught up with him juggling the harem he forgot to write the story. I was so tired of the multiple elix sisters I was hoping they all got shot. But the story would have to actually advance for that to happen. The actual plot lines of this could have been in several chapters. I really hope he gets away from that and back to story telling. Every book has had a protagonist of some kind and here Felix is so OP and everyone with him is so OP there was No challenge. Hope to see a 5th book. But won’t miss it if there isn’t.

Almost, but just didn’t cross the finish line

Great performance by narrator. But story has slapped together feel. Author worked hard to have a lot of elements but lacked depth and I felt was unable to resolve a storyline. It was too focused on having a second book that completion of main goal was forgotten and a lesser villain was substituted in a vain attempt to appease. But the ending leaves off with me not caring what happens at all.
