If you're into BDSM, this is one of the best series I've read! I've read all 15 of the books that Mr. Harder has written so far. Ahhh! Now i have to wait until he releases another book in the series. Bummer! I'm re-reading them because they are superb! The details of punishments, the details of the equipment Neal's handler, Martin, uses to inflict pain on Neal (the prisoner) the details of Neal's temporary injuries at Martin's hands, the sexual tension between Martin and Neal, plus Mr. Harder's excellent grasp of hardcore BDSM make this series a definite must read. I highly recommend it!

I loved reading the books. I've read them all There are a lot of characters in the book although just two primary characters, Eade and Kevin. I don't feel a single narrator really works for this book, and I'm not enthusiastic about the author's narration. While his narration is smooth, it leaves a lot to be desired in terms of accents, different voices for different characters, the intensiy of some of the conversations such as that between the two main characters emphasizing how angry Kevin is with Wade at times and how sheepish and sorry Wade is after Kevin beats his rump beet red with a paddle and then drills Wade's tight boy hole with his huge 9" bat.

I think someone with a different voice would be beneficial to pkay ine if the main characters and the author should work in a couple of voice alterations, raising and lowering his tone, modifying hys cadence to distinguish between characters, and deepen his Texas accent for all of the Texas characters to provide variety.

Uhm, amazing book as is the first book, Aaron. The author either is a psychiatrist and is very familiar with computing or he/she did a hell of a lot of research. The dynamic between the two main characters is painfully special. I can't help but feel so badly for Aaron and Spencer. Aaron's damaged body and soul makes their relationship difficult and Aaron always had doubt that anyone can love him, but their love for each other so deep that they continue to try. Spencer is incredibly sweet and tender with Aaron, always encouraging him to try to move forwards.

The narrator, Tyler Stevens, is great. He does a great job of chsningy his voice abd cadence for rach character. I know which character is speaking by the voice of the character Tyler has created for them most of the time.

A terrific book that had me near tears for ling parts of the read. i think I'm going to have to read the rest of J.P. Barnaby's series.

I loved this book. It is a story of a young man so terribly brutalized who is so damaged by his trauma he feels he'd be better off dead at times. He is filled with so much guilt over what happened and so traumatized that he spends most of his time heavily medicated. His family is traumatized, too, by Aaron's inability to cope with even a gentle mother's touch. He feels broken. Through a chance meeting, someone comes into his life who helps him begin to heal himself. This is a story of a young man overcoming devastating adversity.

There are many moments where I had to stop reading to keep from breaking down. I don't want to give anything away, but when Aaron utters the word momma, I lost it and I don't cry easily. I've had to overcome traumas that I experienced as a teenager near Aaron's age so this book has some spikes in it for me. Read this book unless rape is a trigger for you.

This is my first audio book and I'm impressed with Tyler's voice acting. I will certainly look for him again in future books.
