I didn't really like the book! It began with a dark mysterious death of a cop on a large boat in New York harbor! I was on board! But the more the story progressed, the less engaged I became. I think a lot of it was due to the reader. He isn't very good at creating character voices.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Audible book read by the author, because there are so many characters throughout the book that the personalities he gives to them through his reading make it easy to relate to each one. Each is highly entertaining! The story is filled with witty humor, high drama, and danger. I didn't have trouble with focused listening because the reading is so engaging. The Collective itself is a group of five people,two of whom are females, who work together to try to bring down a pedophile ring within the Secret Service. The story travels from Tokyo to Paris and points in between in the U.S. The author is familiar with the environments he has chosen to use in the book, and it is cool to hear his spoken accents when needed to enhance the authenticity of places and of dialogue. It's great fun to listen to and has a satisfying ending. Loved it!

I enjoyed Jack Noble more as a military man working with his sidekick"Bear". Now Jack i's attached to a group called SIS, a super- covert group of law enforcement members garnered from the FBI, CIA, and DEA. Their mission is to track down a child trafficking ring and bring the perpetrators to justice as well as track down the children to rescue them. Along the way, Jack becomes infatuated with a firefighter named Sarah, and ends up in plenty of physical fights, and he encountered plenty of life endangering situations. He ends up battered, without Sarah, and retiring from SIS. What's next for Jack?
