The information here has motivated me to move toward a plant based diet as soon as i can. Silly to think it will be overnight but i can start! Now can i get my husband to join me? Probably not, if I tell him, but since i cook dinner, i can introduce it over time. 😀

Fullfilling

Interesting from the outset. Becoming more enriching as Maeve’s and Daniel’s lives grow into adulthood and beyond. Twists and turns seem huge in an otherwise normal family. I find Patchett’s prose riveting and am amazed at how she captured the male perspective. And how she is able to go in so many directions only to tie the whole story in a bow at the end as I wiped away my tears of fulfillment.

I loved the reality of the story and her phrasing. While I liked the ending, I would have been more than satisfied with any ending because of Ann’s emotional tenor.

No, it was an historical novel.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lady Jane. Amazed at her accomplishments at such a young age.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Emotion.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes, I did. But the facts of the book and movie differed regarding the relationship between Lady Jand and her husband, Dudley.

Always enjoy the danger of the English court. Politics reign forever!
