Jodi Taylor plus Zara Ramm will never disappoint. Jodi has a unique way of spinning her tales that hook me every time. She could probably write out her grocery list in such a way as to have me hanging on every word. No doubt I would be as familiar with her shop as I am my own.
Zara doesn’t simply narrate, she PERFORMS. She brings the characters to life.

This version of Suicide Med is much easier to follow and it fits better. The same story from everyone’s perspective is fun to follow with Frieda leading us through the first year of Med School. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

I just happened to stumble across Jodie’s books. I was extraordinarily shocked at how well-written her books are. She keeps my attention riveted to the book and does not disappoint. I never get tired of Max and her tea-swilling cohorts. The adventures’ backhanded history lessons have me retaining more information than any of my old instructors ever could.

I got this one this AM and was overjoyed to have a short from this brilliant woman. Halfway through it, I was rolling my eyes thinking, ‘Seriously? O’Henry remake? Really?!?!’
I stuck with it bc Freida NEVER disappoints! Finished it while pulling in to work. My mouth is hanging open and I’m shaking my head!

The reason British mysteries are far superior…

was certainly illustrated perfectly in this book!
While American mysteries are great, I tend to feel as though the plot is spoon-fed to make sure we understand.
In contrast, the Brits weave a story like a tapestry. You have no idea what you are looking at until you get to the end and stand back just to see a crystal clear picture that makes perfect sense.
I knew I had the right answer just to have it twist around and give me something I was not expecting. Great story!

Trying desperately to get through it!

At times he sounds like he is almost asleep with his monotone and running his sentences together. Narrators today have me spoiled because they PERFORM the book; they don’t just read it. It is agonizingly painful to try to get through this…. I can’t even call it a performance.
