Brilliant, competent doctors do ridiculous things.

I struggled to push through this book. The absurd choices that qualified physicians make in this book in regards to mental and physical health, made me yell WHY for most of the listen. The premise of the story kept me engaged...miracle drug to help soldiers, mystery side effects, and STELLAR narration. Ultimately, it just wasn't enough to overcome the ridiculous choices the main characters kept making.

These stories have character building and background...and a lot of steamy sex! The narrator did a good job of conveying the sentiments of each scene, and the stories had a natural flow. I enjoyed them right from the start. I was given a free copy of this book, but my review is my own.

Main female character is EXHAUSTING. She questions EVERYTHING. Story was so promising, but it never goes anywhere. just far enough to let us know there are secrets. Secrets we never learn...until the next book. I'm all for a good cliffhanger, but at some point I need to get answers. Not in this book.
