Historia
Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.

Al Franken is More than a Giant
Revisado: 11-02-17
Al Franken is a comedian and more. He tells a story of where he came from & how he arrived in the US Senate with insight & honesty. He's really kind of a serious guy with serious intentions to do right.
I am a supporter & have donated to his campaign so there's my disclaimer.
The US needs Al Franken in this hostile time to defend the US Constitution against domestic enemies.
And this book tells you why Al Franken is the Giant or at least the right guy to defend our republic. Thanks for the good listen, Al!
The narrator was awesome, too!

Mostly right but one very big wrong
Revisado: 11-24-16
I enjoyed this book & the performance was great. The narration made this easy to follow ... clear voice & enunciation.
DNC is on the right side of the issues IMHO & the book offers strong arguments.
But I was dismayed when the DNC pushed for HRC's candidacy as this book did also. That's when you lost the argument.
I still give 5 stars & faith the DNC will do some deep reflection.

Historia
An historic literary event: the publication of a newly discovered novel, the earliest known work from Harper Lee, the beloved, best-selling author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic To Kill a Mockingbird. Originally written in the mid-1950s, Go Set a Watchman was the novel Harper Lee first submitted to her publishers before To Kill a Mockingbird. Assumed to have been lost, the manuscript was discovered in late 2014.

Story ?
Revisado: 08-10-15
The story starts out interesting. I wanted to know why Atticus Finch was at the Community Council meeting but lost interest when the story went to an irrelevant childhood memory. I could not stay focused on the story as it seemed to meander.
Reese Witherspoon did an excellent performance as narrator.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
